Only welcome by guards and staff offering their best in pick up and drop off luggage, rest all.. poorest construction, age old washroom, room with huge making sound ac, CRT TV god knows it was working, all door and wall not cleaned since ages, mattress blanket and sheets were like roadside beggars using, for two days stays water finished, no room service done.. network and mobile net will work very slow and off... Please check before anyone checks in..
Good comfy hotel at the heart of Kolkata in reasonable fares. Rooms are really good and well decorated. Restaurants have a bengali flavour in foods.Tastes are awesome. Must stay..

The only plus point is the location and friendly and helpful staff who do their best to overcome management's shortcomings. My observations are for Room No 403. Plaster and plywood peeling at places, blanket did not have a cover, there is hardly any space, the wardrobe was without hangers and difficult to access, no provision of hot water in the wash basin, geyser switch is beyond reach of average person, one cannot see one's face in the bathroom mirror which had seen better days and wifi signal is not satisfactory. The whole room appears seedy.
The location is great. Most of the nearby places are within walking distance. The room service is great. Food quality is also very good. Rooms are a little bit small but manageable.
NOT AT ALL VALUE FOR MONEY ! i've stayed in Rs.1000 room that are far better than this Rs.2800 room - i almost thought they mistakenly gave us the wrong room. The double bed can barely fit 2 adults comfortably. Besides the bed, there is almost negligible space to walk around, forget keeping your luggage. The TV is full of dust, almost like an antique. Atleast the bathroom is decent and has western style toilet. The most price of the room is from having AC, I think. The elevators take ages to go up and down.
At summer the water inside bathroom was extremely hot. There was no cable connection inside room. Otherwise a good room.
It works. The hotel has a good location, spacious rooms and satisfactory ambience. But, their staff seems to be severely lacking. The room service sleeps from 10 p.m. to 2 p.m. and the receptionist wants us to find the 'Ladka Log' and talk to them if you want some water bottles to be sent to the room or give clothes for laundry. If they improve their service, these would be a fun place to stay at.
