The most important feature of this hotel is it's location-- just on the MG Marg and opposite to pantaloons. You don't have to walk up or down to reach this hotel. Rooms are clean , some rooms with clear Kanchenjunga view from balcony , foods are awsome. Another important things are it's hotel service, manager's polite behavior and they help tourists providing car rental service.
Nice place to stay near mg road. Had a very nice stay without any issues. Main advantage is its very near the mg road in gantok Sikkim. So it's really easy to travel. Also they call upon taxi if needed.

This is a very good hotel to stay at Gangtok. Rooms are fully furnished and spacious and there has hill facing room. Balcony is available. WiFi facilities is also available. 1 minute walking distance from M G Marg. All staffs are well behaved and very polite with good service. Food quality and variety is awesome (specially Chicken Bharta and Bed Tea )Room service is fine. Overall had a nice experience.
Service is very poor, receptionist RAHUL had a very bad attitude. Room conditions are pathetic. Construction work keeps on going so there is continuous disturbance. Not a comfortable stay.

Only the location is good. Other wise worst hotel experience ever. Only proper behavior with guests could make it one of the most prominent hotel in Gangtok. Gangtok is an over populated tourist destination and Utpala take their guests as "Take it for granted"
The room was ok. The quality of evening snacks was very poor. As per their menu, we ordered very simple Bengali items for dinner. But they offered us only mixed veg. and Kadai Paneer. Certainly, this is not a good place for those who prefer Bengali meals. They arranged a taxi for us by charging 30% higher rate than the market price.
