Hotel Travancore Restaurant - Family restaurant in Cherthala - Alappuzha, India

If you're very hungry and saw this restaurant, stay away. It took them almost 1 And Half hour to give us our order and by the time hunger had mutated into a headache which didn't let us spend more time finding another restaurant. The taste and quality of the food is also very poor.They have such good atmosphere, architecture and fairly decent staff but they lack enthusiasm and passion I felt very sad about waiter, the one and only person who should manage all the customers coming there .

The restaurant offers delectable cuisine and boasts a charming ambiance reminiscent of a traditional naalukettu house. The staff members are exceptionally warm and friendly, ensuring a delightful dining experience.

It's quiet atmosphere and good quality food was good. The traditional style architecture was marvellous

Visited with high enthusiasm upon reviews and ratings, but it was not up to my expectations. Tried fish curry meals. It was average and not that tasty like mid Travancore preparation. I was in short of time and couldn't try other dishes. Designed in old traditional nalukettu house (courtyard inside house) style of Kerala with ample parking space. I'll visit once again with enough time to spend before making a conclusion.

Poor food and poor service. Too much flies all over. Porotta served was ready made stale porotta. Papadam given was soggy. Worst service. Serving staff don't have the courtesy to address our grievance. Was been here 3 years back and was an excellent restaurant. A good example of how an organization can go down with poor service.

Cosy comfortable homely sitting, lovely atmosphere with beautiful views, tasty food and great service! I with my wife and son loved our lunch in this place on our way from Kreupasanam to Cochin. We plan to enjoy with our rest of family next week.

Best place for a beautiful vacation. Peaceful. No big crowd. Clean tidy places&pools. Enjoyed our vacation.Worth for the money spent.

The ambience of this hotel is very good. Food is just okay. If you are looking for authentic Alleppey food; though I would say the food doesn't taste yummy or very good. Last time I ordered Parotta and Karimeen mappas. The curry was passable, but it was spoiled by making it excessively spicy with pepper crush. The service is poor. I waited for nearly 15 minutes to find someone to take my order.
