Hotel The Shagun - Hotel in Bhopal - Bhopal, India

Very dirty rooms. Soiled curtains full of dust in the window curtains. Cockroach everywhere even on the bed. Unhygienic. Only pros is the room size, it's big for executive room. Other than than nothing great. Noisy dirty neighbourhood. It's close to the city market. Complimentary breakfast has only 3 options and they make only one or 2 of them. Tables and sofas are full of dust. Would not recommend. We chose because it was closer ti the market. We had stayed here some years back at that time it was good, clean but now it's not maintained well.

I had the pleasure of staying at Hotel Shagun recently, and I must say, it exceeded all my expectations! From the moment I walked in, I was greeted with warm hospitality and a friendly smile. One of the highlights of my experience was undoubtedly the food. I cannot recommend Hotel Shagun enough. It truly is a gem in the heart of the old Bhopal city . this hotel has it all. Thank you, Hotel Shagun, for a memorable experience. I will definitely be returning on my next visit!

The staff is extra kind one can just get friendly with ROHIT, SHIVANI & ANIL. I have been coming to the property for longer stays too.. the rooms are nice and welcoming the only complain is about the COOKS & QUALITY of food.. both needs to be improved critically apart from that overall review: SATISFIED and good to visit again

Really great for the price that i paid. The location of the hotel is perfect, 9/10 for cleanliness and hygiene. The executive room was spacious enough and the bathroom was surprisingly spacious too. The only setback was that they didn't have a geyser, so i had to ask them for hot water separately. The bedding was comfortable and clean. All in all a really good stay. Would recommend 9/10.

Actually I want to give it 0 star! A worst place to stay, I don't want to call it Hotel, actually it's worst than any Dharmsala! Everything's in the rooms are worn out! Bathroom, wash basin, cupboards, beds, everything dirty, smells bad and tuta futa. Top of all the Receptionist sitting on front desk are arguing like nothing... They have mentioned that there's Kettle and Tea-Coffee supplies in all room but when I asked her about that, they started arguing that sab khatam ho gaya he lane ka time nahi he. Even they only run free channels on room TV's and that also after so many calls. There room phones are also out of service. They don't give a single filter bottle as complementary. We ordered dal, chapatis and cauliflower veggie for lunch. But the waiter served us only chapatis and dal, when asked about veggie, he told that I forgot. Theirs Tea, Lassi everything we ordered was worst. We stayed here on recommendation of one of my hubby's friend, for business meetings. Bathroom gate has no handle, that kundi also not able to open or close. Top of all no water in the flush, when asked, person said rat ko pani bharna bhul gaya 1000% no no for this place!!!

It's an average hotel with basic amenities. In my opinion it requires a complete overhaul to uplift the ambience. The washbasins in the washroom were dated, broken and dirty, a few times even the flush wasn't working as there was no water. There's scope for improvement so pull up your socks now.
