Hotel The Prime Balaji Deluxe @ New Delhi Railway Station - Hotel in Delhi - Central, India

Good for a few days of stay. Near local restaurants and railway station. Per India standards, it's one of the cleanest rooms in Delhi for a modest price. Per North American standards, it's a maximum 2-star hotel. The breakfast was good, all Indian food with omelet and pancake. The staff were nice.

Checked in late at night around 11pm. The room the gave us on 4th floor had terrible smell and the whole room was nauseating. The bed was not clean. We asked the staff to change the room. Then we got room 407, another disaster! The room A/C was not functioning properly had to call reception multiple times to resolve the issue but they seemed careless with it. They told me that they can change the room meanwhile it was already 11:50pm! We decided just to suffer for the whole night! Pathetic behaviour and hotel! Whole hotel had a noxious smell. I wouldn't recommend anyone to stay here!

Considering the advantage of being very close to New Delhi Train Station and Connaught Place this is a good Hotel to stay in. The Rooms are good and have all the facilities as expected and devoid of any noise. The Buffet Breakfast is also well balanced. The staff including the Security staff are very helpful. A special mention for the Receptionist Mr. Mahesh who is very welcoming and helpful. Overall it is an economical Hotel.

I stayed at this hotel for two days during a business trip. The hotel is clean, and the room service is efficient. The rooms are a bit compact and appear to have been recently renovated. They offer a variety of North and South Indian food items. The location is a significant advantage as it is close to popular commercial areas such as Paharganj, the railway station, the metro, and the famous Rajiv Chowk.

The rooms and facilities are great for the price. However, the area is very crowded and there's not enough parking space, so beware. Its very close to Delhi railway station. We had stayed here as a part of a business trip. The staff even upgraded one of our rooms free of cost.

Located 1km away from the Railway Station, it's an okay place to stay for a day or two. Had some issues locating it as it's inside a thin alley. The room which I was in was good, but some friends received very small rooms with little to no walking space. The staff was friendly but the charges on every little thing like a water bottle was way more than the MRP.

The room was clean, albeit small. The major requirement from a hotel near the station is that it's not a horrible mess crawling with rodents and pests, so at least that wasn't an issue. But other that that, service was very bad. Upon checking in, the room had just 1 towel instead of 2, there was no liquid soap in the dispenser, and no hand towels. Called the reception for hand towels but they never arrived in the 2 days we were there. The receptionist assured me they're charging MRP for bottled water, but upon checkout gave a markup of 75% and denied having ever said the MRP thing. And the worse thing, I asked them to wake me up at 5 am but they never called my room. They weren't even apologetic about the fact when asked about it. It's a decent property with insensitive, irresponsible people running it. I guess most of their time goes in bending over backwards pleasing the foreigners visiting, so they don't have any bandwidth left to be a good host to Indians. Latent racism at play. Overall, wouldn't recommend it at the price of INR 2100/night. You can get better properties in Paharganj at that price.

Big thanks to Security Guard in the night shift, we called him "Security Baba" :) He was warm welcoming and friendly during our stay. He was always smiling, polite and friendly. Gave us so many insider tips for travelling through New Dehli. Also the night shift guy on the reception. Many thanks to him as well! Always friendly, helping and respectfull. Greetings from Germany
