Hotel Thazhakudy Neelakandan - Vegetarian restaurant in Nagercoil - Kanniyakumari, India

We stopped at this restaurant for breakfast and lunch. It's located right on the highway, in the outskirts of Nagarcoil, near APTA Market. Very easy to spot. For breakfast, we had masala dosa, idli and mini tiffin. Mini tiffin portion was good, more than enough for one person. Mini tiffin had small portion of pongal, kesari, small uzhunnu vada, mini masala dosa, mini idlis and poori. It came with a mini coffee. Masala dosa and idli were also very tasty. Three types of chutneys were kept on the table itself. For lunch, we had vegetarian meals, curd rice and curd vada. Curd vada was without any sweetness and was garnished with spicy boondi. Curd rice was really yummy. Meals was good too, with waiters asking if one would have more. We also tried panamkalkandu milk, which is milk sweetened with palm jaggery. It also had a slight flavour of dry ginger and pepper. It's a hot drink Service is fast, with waiters offering suggestions about what to order. Food was fresh and reasonably priced. Washroom is in the basement and one has to go down a staircase to reach. May not be suitable for disabled and elderly. There was a non-operational lift, though. The restaurant has a large parking area. There's an attendant to help vehicles get back on the highway. A pit stop in this restaurant is highly recommended. The restaurant has amazing views.

Very nice and hygienically maintained restaurant exclusively for pure vegetation food. All the items are very tasty. The staff working are very patient and enjoyed their service. So we also feel very happy about the hospitality. Veraities of food, tea, coffee, desert items and fresh juices are available. Small party hall is available for function and birthday parties. The price also affordable.

Visited on july 2023, Located on the highway, best place for a break from the driving. Tea, Juice stalls were present in the front. And for the restaurant AC and non AC rooms provided. Restrooms present at the basement floor, properly maintained. The views from the AC room were good, facing the highway, even the food was decent. Highly recommended.

It's located on the Nagercoil - Tirunelveli highway. Good taste. It has a huge parking space. Has a variety of dishes ( Chinese, Indian). Pure vegetarian restaurant. Ambience is good. Has Non AC on the ground floor and AC on the First Floor. Service is good.Price is reasonable. Good place for family.

Not sure if there is a water body near by, slight smell of stagnant water was in air. They could have closed one side window. Uncle referred this as a good veg hotel with special options for veg lunch. Food taste is good. Busy restaurant I would say.

I had a stop at this restaurant for dinner during a bus journey. I had the Podi Dosa, which was decent, and the sambar and 3 varieties of chutneys were all notably delightful. The coffee was also really good. The restroom facilities were reasonably clean and hygienic.

Very good food , had breakfast here and food was delicious. Conveniently positioned right next to Nagercoil -tirunelveli highway, with ample parking.

Hotel Neelakandan ,since 1987, Pure Veg is on highway. What catches attention is a big photo of Lord Balaji. Most of long route buses stop here for dinner/food here. . Have both A/c and Non AC wing. Outside we have quick service for Tea/ Cofee, juices and condiments. Good parking space. Tried Dosa, tasty. Saw lot of locals also coming and having dinner here. Also take orders for parcel.
