Hotel Temple View - Hotel in Madurai - Madurai, India

Location is just 5 min walk from temple. But staff don't have manners. They didn't provide room service for anything even water also. No kitchen facilities. You can consider him just for slip.

Would not recommend this hotel to anyone. We arrived late in the night only to be greeted by a rude receptionist, dirty halls, cockroaches in the room and disgusting bed sheets. The bugs and cockroaches were under mattresses and inside the bathroom matt. We managed to book another hotel and get the money back for this one, but the receptionist was extremely aggressive when we asked for a refund. Very bad experience.

To my recent trip to Madurai where I preferred to stay in Hotel Temple View I must say this is the best place to stay in Madurai. The owners and the staff are extremely polite and have a welcoming nature. I guess that's what every customers demand for. The room and washroom is extremely clean. This is just few steps away from Meenakshi temple and to many other temples too. I would recommend it 100%. I did a solo trip but trust me I felt like living in a home with such a welcoming atmosphere and completely safe.

Do not stay here. The staff seem extremely annoyed that there are guests at the hotel. The mattress was stained and there are padlocks on the windows. The hotel hasn't been cleaned in years. I've traveled to India twice for vacation and this was my worst experience. It is like a flophouse near the Delhi train station but expensive. Although we paid for 3 nights we left after 2. It was that inhospitable.

The worst stay of my life. We got 2 non ac rooms for a night. When we approached the manager (almost bald short man) with these issues. He created a such a indecent and huge scene 1.Though it is near to the temple, there is no parking for cars and you need to park it far away from the hotel 2. They bedsheets where so dirty and when asked they said they ran out of sheets cause they gave it to "dry clean" 3. They don't give bedsheets to cover yourself for non ac rooms. When asked, the manager LIED saying we only checked in for a few hours in the morning and not for the night. 4. The manager suggested we go to meenakshi temple at 5am. Hence we asked him about the hot water for which he said it'll be on at 4. We ended up showering in cold water cause it wasn't on. 5. They charge 300 for extra bed and give us a foam which we couldn't sleep on at all. 6. The lift is old with those 2 chain gates and holds only 3-4 people. It's so inconvenient to use it. 7. They charged us so much and their service and stay was the worst. Would not recommend this to anybody

The property is situated nearby the temple. The rooms were maintained neatly. The reception/ check in service was good. However poor room service. Parking is very hectic. Actually they do not have any parking space. They just arrange street parking.

One of the worst hotels I have ever stayed with costly charges which are not worth even a penny. This hotel charged me 1800 INR for a two bedroom stay. What My 1800 INR was charged for : 1. This hotel doesn't have a parking, if you are travelling by car. A huge NO 2. Very small rooms, looks like a capsule stay with very worst Mattress and dirty blankets. 3. This hotel has lifts from Stone Age. Something hilarious was to reach 3rd floor you have to press 2 and step down and you will see it's 3rd floor. I have heard fuzzy logic in lifts. This a funny logic based 4. Asked me to park my car in the roadside which damaged our car in the morning and we had to step out from the car in a complete water and mud contamination which completely spoiled our temple ready dresses too. Madurai has way better Hotels for 1800Rs INR. Use my button to rate 0 stars.

I booked a deluxe double room at this hotel through Agoda, but I was disappointed to find that the actual room didn't match the photos shown on the site. The rooms were not deluxe as advertised, and the bathrooms were not clean. The rooms felt very old and had a strong smell of phenol, which was unpleasant. On the positive side, the hotel is conveniently located near the Madurai Meenakshi Amman temple, and the manager was excellent and very helpful. However, considering the issues with the room and facilities, I don't believe it's a value for money option at Rs. 1814.
