Hotel Tashi Tagey - Hotel in Gangtok - East District, India

Excellent place, especially the quality of service and cleanliness, is awesome.Also, they have a beautiful rooftop garden and view of the entire hill and city.

We stayed here for around 6 days. I along with my parents enjoyed our stay here a lot. It felt like a second home. Uncle and Aunty themselves take care of the hotel and keep it neat and clean. The interior is extremely well designed and custom decorated. The rooms are very good and the food prepared by aunty is excellent. It's home made food, very healthy and very tasty. There is a beautiful garden on the terrace and it's well maintained. The location of the hotel is very nice as well. All kinds of banks are there, food shops, stationery, daily need shops and even branded markets can be found. We will never forget our stay here and will always be grateful for the hospitality extended towards us.

we stayd 2 nights at Tashi Tagey, Rude behaviour of the owner, and he will pick your pocket ,we asked him a help to arrange a north sikkim tour ,and he phoned a person then say 14000 for the private journey ,one night tour.(shared tour is 10 ppl in a sumo van with Rs2500) and we dont get more time to enquire becoz only 2 days left in our vacation at Gangtok,the next day we know that its only 9000 for the one night tour .he picked 5000 from our pocket, you can get a good Innova @12000.and we saw three ppl came there after a long journey,and show him their booking details,the time was almost 10 O' clock, and he say checking time is at 12 pm, and we know all the rooms are empty there.they beg him for a room to become fresh but he Rudely denied their request.very unfriendly,he charged 400 rupees for the breakfast ,the break fast is aloo parata or bread omlet, and fixed in three pieces only with a glass of coffee and a glass of water.he never serve extra drinking water on the table.BUT his Wife is very friendly behaviour. NEVER recommended This place.

Its just a second home where you will be taken care of for every detail. This is basically a homestay managed by uncle and aunti. Uncle specially looks after the management and aunti looks after the fooding and essentialities just like a mother.I stayed there for 3 nights, standard double bed room and they provided a very neat and clean room with window view of the road side. They seemed to be strict regarding the food ordering and food delivery timings, may be because the homestay was managed , cooked by the owners itself. And this results a very tasty food cooked with great care in both traditional and common Indian taste. I went there with my wife and two year old son. The fooding (khicdi) and hot water ( free of charge) for my son were provided whenever required. As I said earlier its not a hotel but a homestay where you can spend time in the lobby reading newspapers, sit in the dinning room, roam about in the entire property and also move to the terrace with sitting arrangements which gifts you an excellent view of the mountains and the town. You can click some photos and selfies with this beautiful background. My son for a moment feel ill due to altitude sickness but the motherly treatment of aunti helped my son recover from the illness. Regarding the food it was very tasty but bit costly but considering the cost of vegetables and other stuff in the town, the rates were considerable. Any help rather it be a cab booking or share taxi booking or any requirement and suggestions , uncle aunti were always there to help you. If any memory I have to keep about Gangtok, I consider the stay at the homestay was the best and shall remain in memory for long time.

Its excellent . Not a hotel its a home. Stay there to believe it. Advice to all tourist friends. Stay in hotel Tashi tagi.... Book Mr. Sonam as tour guide cum Driver ( Mr Dorji can coordinate ) and enjoy a hassle free trip. Food is excellent. Hats up to Madam Nima

Believe me, the 3.8 star does not justify the place. I have no complaints with the place. You get a cozy sweet and decorated stay with very homely and tasty food. What else one needs ..

We are having wonderful stay at this hotel. Food is amazing. Care takers are very cordial, they helped us fixing taxi services to go around Gangtok.
