We had tried the ghee rice and chicken fry combo. Ghee rice was superb in taste, chicken fry was super cooked and the meat was juicy and the crumbs were crispy. porrootttt was not hot. Parking will be very difficult. Have great seating capacity as well. Staffs were very friendly and cooperative. It's location has been changed and new location is in safalyam complex. Lime juice is a must try item.
I had a single portion of chicken biryani from here. Biryani was the worst that I had in recent times. If you are for a biryani never have it from here. The only thing that is good about the food was quantity and reasonable price. Along with single biryani they served boiled egg, pappad and salad.
Visited the restaurant after around 18 years. (Near Palayam pally.) Staff changed, rooms changed, but I felt the same taste. It was my affordable nutrition source during my stay in the university hostel Palayam, as they offered half biriyani at a reasonable price. I think it's the cheap in cost biriyani always. (Beef biriyani @120) If you eat to live, recommended from different perspectives.
In a single word we can say "thepp". I ordered mutton roast which costs around 230 and you can see the quantity of the dish they provided (image attached). So if you are planning to eat from here, it's better to dine rather than a parcel/delivery. Tastewise it was average, but quantity, you will surely get cheated.
I had ordered chicken fry from here in swiggy. 2 set of chicken fry for 240 rs. It had only 4 small pieces combined (photo for proof). Expected medium sized pieces at this price. Even though the portion size was small, the chicken fry was not cooked well inside. Half cooked chicken at this price is not at all worthy.
Hotel Taj has moved to a new location. In Palayam Market, basement shop in Saphalayam Shopping Complex. I went there on a recommendation of a local auto person who suggested this place was good for non-veg. I ordere take away of Biriyani, Parotta and Chicken Fry. Their speciality Chicke fry was brilliant. The Parotta and Biriyani were ordinary. I may have to try this place again, but my first experience was ordinary. While waiting for the parcel, I had tea and that was good. The new facility is clean. They have an AC partition. The facility has no parking. They accept payments in card and cash.
If you are opting for chicken fry and Kerala porotta there is no better place than TAJ... simply superb...
The restaurant has a small parking space, which can be quite inconvenient, especially during peak hours. Upon entering, my expectations for a pleasant dining experience were quickly dashed. The food quality was poor, far below what I anticipated given the high prices they charge. The service was another letdown. It was incredibly slow, and the staff seemed disinterested in providing a positive dining experience. They lacked attentiveness and were not responsive to our needs. To make matters worse, the condition of the restroom was appalling. It looked more like a waste bin than a place for personal hygiene, which was downright disgusting and unacceptable. All in all, this restaurant was a complete disappointment, and I have no intention of visiting it again. It was a bad experience overall, and I would advise others to consider alternative dining options.

This was one of the best biryanis I had in Thiruvananthapuram. Once when we went, the biryani was finished but the owner let us have some free rice. They are not willing to compromise on quality. Keep in mind that If you go after one o'clock you are
The Malabar chicken biryani was recommended to me and it was delight bursting with flavors. The succulent pieces of chicken are marinated to perfection, lending a juicy texture. The fragrant Basmati rice and aromatic spices infuse a heavenly taste. E
