Hotel Sun & Snow - Hotel in Srinagar, Forest Block - Baramulla, India

We stayed here for a day on April. I must say it was indeed one of the worst experiences of my life. We were staying here for the last day of our trip. There are barely any rooms and only around 3-5 people as staff. Our room was tiny and lacked basic amenities. The bedsheets looked like it hadn't been changed in years and it was smelly also. We reached the hotel at around 4-5pm after sightseeing. Since we hadnt eaten lunch we asked them for any snack. So they served some noodles and bread omlette.They served dinner that night. Me and my family ate a lot. But that night me and my 10 year old daughter ended up contracting severe food poisoning. We ended up throwing all of the food out for around 9-11 hours until we reached the airport. Our condition was pretty critical and we were in a critical condition. After reaching back home we were admitted in the hospital. Perhaps the bread and omelette that they served was of expired date, Im sure. All I want to say is that never visit here because the place lacks basic cleanliness and management and hygiene.

Not good place to stay during winters. Either the room heating works or the water geyser works at a time. Do not book this place in winters. More mature staff need to be put here to supervise. Food was good and tasty.

It was a good hotel with decent amenities. The view was amazing only the downside was in gulmarg when it snow the electricity power cut off and after that the room become cold..

The bathroom was not good. Geyser was not working which is basic thing required in Gulmarg at 7 degree. Taps were broken, need to use with soft hands so it doesn't come in your hands. The staff tried to fix the geyser but could not as they dont have the skills. They are good but very casual in service. Don't expect any professional service. I booked the hotel as this is the last option available. I recommend only go here when you dont have any other option. The charges are way higher for what we get.

Good and cozy rooms situated on a small cliff you need to climb it was slightly difficult due to heavy snow, food was delicious, they made a small igloo which was mesmerizing.

Hotel is very good. Food is too awesome. Service is very good and the staff is very cooperative. You got to see a very good overview of the gulmarg valley.

Seems paid reviews. Highly unprofessional staff can't say staff as well because 2 person was there. No wifi , dishes was not cleaned like from an year. Rooms were dark, bedsheet not cleaned, Smelling worse than the sock. Even a dog will not prefer to stay here. I had to check out after seeing the condition. No door locks, no water in flush. Please stay away from this property and avoid the reviews saying as clean, delicious food.

I stayed 2 nights in January when the temperature dropped to -10 degree at night. Pros: - Good location - Good food at affordable price. Cons: - Central heating works from 6 pm to 12 pm excluding when power load shedding. - Electric blanket was not functional. - There was no blower provided initially. So, I was freezing at night when they turned off central heating. Then they provided a tiny blower which struggled to keep the room warm. - Almost all rooms are near common areas and has poor sound insulation. As a result, you hear outside noise constantly.
