Hotel Summer Park - Hotel in Udupi - Udupi, India

Budget-friendly and Comfortable Stay: For my recent one-night trip to Udupi, I opted to stay at a budget-friendly hotel located just a 3-minute walk from Sri Krishna Temple. The main highlight was undoubtedly the affordability, making it an excellent choice for the price range. The rooms were comfortable and adequate for a short stay, considering the budget. The staff was friendly and accommodating, which added to the overall positive experience. However, do keep in mind that some minor issues like moisture and signs of wear and tear were present. If you are looking for a cost-effective option and don't mind compromising on certain aspects, this hotel can be a reasonable choice for your stay.

The rooms are old, bathroom is not very clean. Even the door got locked and the staff had to open the room using tools. To addon, the rooms have mosquito and will be hot like a chamber if there is no airconditioner. To summarise the location is near Udupi temple, but not worth the money and needs to be a bit more clean.

To start with I would have given 0.5 stars if there was an option. I have been visiting this hotel since I was kid and so are many members from my family and this time too we stayed for 3 nights just 2 days ago. For a customer whose only choice was SummerPark for all these years, will no longer be his choice going forward. I had booked 2 AC rooms which costed me 2016 rupees per night. As soon as we checked in - Bad check in experience - 1. The bell boy came near to the car, took few bags of ours and placed near lift and went off. 2. Within next 5-7 mins I was told that this will be your total cost and please pay by cash. CASH really? (Finally made payment during check out using card) Quality of rooms- 1. The rooms which were initially shown to us - Wall paints were peeling off due to seepage - Lizard in the bathroom - Big red ants near bathroom door and almost all over the room - Western style commode sitting plate was dark brown and was very unhygienic and dirty. (When asked about this the room service guy told me it was just gum) Then upon asking different room we were given 2 rooms which were like as stated below- - Loud noise from AC in room. It was not resolved even after telling them twice - Big red ants in room - Staff restroom between these 2 rooms and which was left opened almost all through the day Service by room service guys (Most irresponsible, egoistic, money centric, foul language usage) - 1. No room cleaning service in 3 days. They did not even attempt to come and ask if the room or bathroom must be cleaned. 2. When I told that the AC makes loud noise, the room service guy by name NAGARAJ's response was that we will only come to know when you tell us. We will get someone to have it fixed but no follow up, an attempt to have fixed in 3 days. 3. Now comes the WORST part (Ordering food from in house restaurant) - -Every other time the orders were never delivered correctly. Example- Room number 1 order was delivered at 2 and vice versa. - They will never give or prepare food the way you explain it(especially soft chapatis for aged adults and small kids) -Very bad quality coffee and tea -We ordered food on a night and this was the nail in the coffin - We ordered food but was delivered with no plates and the audacity is it was not even given to us even after telling that room service guy Nagaraj. We including a 3 year old had in the same bowl. We placed order for 1 cold and 4 warm mineral water bottles (1 litre packs) and were delivered in reverse manner for twice and then were billed for 6 litres in total. At the end when I had questioned that room service guy in front of the reception, he had the audacity in asking me "Will you do my job?" and lies that he had told another room service guy in sending us the plates and other guy said NO then and there. The management was in supportive of that guy because they are under staffed. There was not even a APOLOGY. So, I took time and wrote this feedback to help others not to get treated the way we were and not to waste money on this extremely bad hotel. There are many other good options in Udupi.

First time we had bad experience with Summer Park. Unexpectedly I found rat droppings in Subz pulao. We love the food cooked here as we get the taste of home made food. but after finding such rat droppings, it left us disappointed. It is very dangerous to consume unhygienic food contaminated with rat droppings. Hygiene should be the first priority.

Not great but Good room, affordable price, shri krishna math premises.

Good stay. Near to Krishna temple and city bus stand. Clean rooms. Good food (restaurant). And in budget.

Room was okayish. But the bathroom was not neat. No complementary water to drink. Price is on the higher side without enough amenities.

I did not stayed in the room...but I went to summer park restaurant....it's ok ok...not soo great...not so bad..... average
