Hotel suksagar - Vegetarian restaurant in Kumta - Uttara Kannada, India

This place is really a surprise for me in Kumta. I am from bangalore and have travelled all over and eaten in most of the bf places in blr including the best Darshini's . I write this with that experiment . When you enter sukha sagar , it looks slightly run down but the taste of food , freshness and the owner's welcoming smile will make you go back to this place again and again . Vada was to die for . Uppitu which is now become Upma in bangalore was very tasty too . I feel this place needs to get more recognition then any hotels around Kumta . All tourists passing by Kumta will be directed to some Highway hotels by locals but when we came to sukha sagar we found all locals enjoying the food here . I did not try the Dose . Do give this place a try when in Kumta .

Idli and sambar tasted good, soft texture. Dosa was okayish, upma tasted good but was not hot and pretty oily. Pocket friendly was sure, could have maintained a lot more especially the washrooms. Buns were okayish too.

One of the best place to have some good South Indian food. Staff of this hotel is very good. They will treat you very gently. Prices are good as well. Incredible Kumta

Nice restorent in kumta...south indian dishes nd south indian thaali very nice and very reasonable rates..and also near national highaway..very cleaning ....overal very good service

Indeed a nice experience dining at this serene atmospheric restaurant. The food is excellent ie south Indian and d palate is tasty ofcourse.

Best vegetarian food at reasonable price.Mr.sampath(owner)is very friendly and hospitality is great. Must try-buns,kotte kadabu
