Hotel Starline - Hotel in Guwahati - Kamrup Metro, India

This is the worst hotel; I regret booking here. The staff is rude, and the room doesn't resemble what is shown in the photos. When I called to request a heater, they refused to provide one. Moreover, they insisted on payment at the counter even before check-in. Don't believe the fake reviews. I have stayed here for four days and it is worst.

Hotel room was good. Bathroom was decent. What I really hated was the customer service. We called them to change the bedsheets THREE times, and after waiting for hours, finally they brought new bedsheets to change the old ones with, after the third call. Ruined mood.

1. Reception Area - great. attained promptly. 2. Elevator - Clean, smooth ride 3. Room - Specious with enough plug points, it helps us a lot. as we need to charge mobile phones, laptops.. 4. Wash Room - big, with modern amenities, 24 hrs hot and cold water supply. 5. cleanliness- house keeping staffs are taking care of cleanliness very well. 6. Room Service - prompt service 7. Food Quality - nice

This is the best hotel in Guwahati if you want to spoil your mood and trip. I got it booked on 7th Oct through Make my Trip.,, it looked reasonable online,,, though there was facility of getting full refund before checkin time, i missed the chance. ,,,, there was very stinky smell all over,,,from lift to lobby to gallery to rooms to bathrooms,,,, even the curtains and doormat inside the room very so dirty that a foul smell was prevailing all over,,the bedsheets in the room were dirty and yelloish ,, i was with my family and we were experiencing vomit sensation,,, i tried to explain the staff on main counter regarding the unbearable stinky smell in room, he tried to justify that due rain in this season, moisture is created which causes smell. I told them that curtains can be washed in hot water,,clean water can be used for moping,,The staff was very casual,,, there was nothing like hospitality,, it seemed that the owner of the hotel seldom visit there,, mostly all rooms were lying vacant,,,may be because no customer would revisit it ,,, i spent one night with great difficulty and next morning started searching for another hotel,, i was surprised to know that most if the near by hotels in Paltan bazar were full unlike this Starline which is running vacant ,, worst experience of life,,,,

One of the oldest hotels in the Paltan Bazar area. Adept with all modern-day facilities, this hotel is ideal for travellers on the go, eventually heading to the railway station. The staff is cooperative and they offer rental car facilities as well.

This hotel was a pit stop for me while coming from Shillong. The hotel staff was friendly and accommodated customer requests happily. Rooms were decent as per the price and service was good.

Rooms are not clean enough. The rooms are damp and congested. The breakfast is not so good. Not a value worthy service as well.

Third class hotel... 1. Rooms are very small 2. Twin beds in the room. King bed on demand only. 3. Very tiny bathroom 4. Not toiletories in toilet except a piece of soap and little bottle of shampoo 5. Very poor signals of Airtel and BSNL inside the room 6. Very poor wifi connectivity. 7. Open wardrobe 8. Antique piece of airconditioner Not at all recommended. Full stop.
