Hotel SS Grand - Rameswaram - Hotel in Rameswaram - Ramanathapuram, India

Staying with my friends at Hotel SS Grand was a breath of fresh air! Rooms where clean and comfortable, the food was amazing, especially the free breakfast, but the best part was the staff, not only where they super helpful, but from the moment we walked in, to the moment we left we where greeted by smiles and friendly faces. This hotel is without a doubt the best in Rameshwaram.

Decent rooms. But construction is underway on top floor make some uncomfortable. Hot water but very less hot. AC not working properly. No water in morning. Lack of room maintenance.

The rooms require cleaning and a fresh coat of paint is required. Basic things like electric kettle and TV with functional channels are missing. The restaurant is very basic but the food is well prepared and the staff is helpful. Amar at the reception is very helpful and friendly

The service of the hotel was excellent. The staff here is very helpful . The food was very tasty here . Overall experience was good would recommend staying here if you visit Rameshwar

Today, upon checking in, we were greeted with extremely poor service. The WiFi was non-functional, and the intercom system was also not working. They gave us a single mobile number which was consistently busy. Despite booking a room for three people, we were only provided with a single bedsheet and blanket, with no additional bed. We had prepaid a significant amount for what turned out to be very basic services. Not recommended

They are really pathetic. Rooms are not neat tidy. No hot water in the room. When we complained about the same they just changed the room and the same thing in other room also. Flush were not working properly in one of three rooms. Early morning no hot water to take bath nor they don't give a cup of coffee for the guests also. They have such a pathetic service. When we call the reception the person at night duty answers arrogantly. There was some reinnovation work happening in the hotel at their restaurant. When the guest are still having their food they are least bothered and they are on their work. The cement and stones were falling from the ceiling. Food was not at all hot. This hotel cannot be recommended to any one.

I booked a double room after clearly seeing the photos where there were 2 rooms in one. I paid 4500 per night for this. When I reached there I was given a single room with a double bed and told that they will just give a mattress for the two people. When spoken about the photos that they posted online for my room clearly shows 2 rooms, they said that they have posted all photos online. I was with my family so finally had to pay 2.5k to move us to a room that was actually a double room. They are fraudsters. Moreover, the whole day, the construction was going on which was disturbing us and did not let anyone sleep. The rooms and bathrooms were dirty and filled with mosquitoes. The manager is incompetent and rude. He can neither understand your problem nor solve for anything. Just knows how to talk rudely with customers. He was extremely ignorant person and for everything just asking us to cancel and go somewhere else. This is hands down my worst travel experience till date due to this person. He was even refusing to handover the bill to us but eventually did after some back and forth. Horrible experience!

Booked this hotel for 2 nights to explore Rameshwaram. This hotel is on main road and easily accessible. Main temple is around 3 KMs from here.. Check in was very easy.. Decent sized room which was neat and clean.. Bath rooms are also clean with hot water available (little more hot would be excellent). Restaurant in ground floor. South and North Indian options for lunch and dinner (Pure veg). Food is really tasty.. Breakfast has only South Indian options and was same for both days (Idly, vada, pongal, poori, Dosa, Kesari bath, Bread and Coffee/Tea). Large parking area available, so no worries.. You have options to order food from outside through Zomato.. AC is very good and they have power back up and hence no worries.. Overall 4.5 Stars for the property, humble staff and the food.. If you ask me whether I come back or refer friends, my answer is YES. Rooms, Food and Staff. Located in main road and easy access to all temples..
