Hotel Sownthariyam - Hotel in Palani - Dindigul, India

Rooms are good but room service is not available all time and requested to clean the room but room boy came and gave the broomstick and asked us to sweep , when asked said no members available if you wan clean and no respect to customers. Reception they have a lady employee who speaks so harsh and no respect for customers and not answering to our question and she shout at customers no politeness or calmness or greetings from reception person in morning shifts. Location wise good , that's the only positive about this hotel.

We booked standard room by phone grond floor because of lift facility not available However,they were not honred my booking and provided first floor room and they asked more money for executive suite on ground floor room. I think this is marketing tactics to make more money. There is no hot water either night time or morning time I called so many times for hot water but no use same answer turn knob right side. Room room has craks on roof, I added photo also on this

Stayed for one day. Booked room through mobile only. Located in main market area. Main entrance to the hotel is relatively small and due to other show rooms and shops one might miss noticing the board. One veg. Restaurant is there -Gowri krishna in front of the hotel. Food is excellent and prices are very reasonable. With in 1/2 km distance one can reach the temple. Parking may be problem if more vehicles have come on the same time. One can try staying here, since food restaurant and railway station can be reached easily.

Very decent for families. Only draw back is no lift. Othar than that excellent hotel to stay.

Hotel is decent place to stay in Palani for a few day at a affordable price,The rooms were spacious, with water heater available 24/7,AC and Fan are also functional the bathrooms were clean. The linen was kind of dirty, and the caretaker needs to know how to interact with customers. There is some issues with Car parking if completely full,Expect some problems from the security guy and the manager as well.Overall I had a relatively good stay. Would recommend.

Very nice experience staying at Hotel Sownthariyam. Very affordable prices. Rooms were clean, comfortable and had all basic facilities (I booked a standard AC room for a single night stay). Room service for food is good. Tasty food at a reasonable price.

Clean and neat rooms with all needed facilities. Lift facility is not available. People with the knee pain might struggle to climb the steps. Highly recommended for family's. There is also a hotel next to the entrance which caters with the good taste and affordable food items. You have to be extra careful during the entrance and exit as there a ramp been put and some vehicle hit the bottom of the ramp and the metal barricades taking sharp turns.

Staffs behaviour especially the receptionist behaviour is very rude with customers and the hotel is very old doesn't have lift service. Not value for money.
