Hotel Southern Residency - Hotel in Kelambakkam - Chengalpattu, India

Very average hotel. The bedspread, pillows, pillow cases were quite old, had bobbles on them and was very rough. The ambience of room was below average. Toilet was stinking.

Good choice for a comfortable family & business met stays. Restaurant is too good with quality staff & food. Restaurant manager is very caring and interacts well with customers to give comfortable dining. Highly recommended

Good hotel with all basic amenities. It has a tie-up with thr resort nearby which is the mermaid resort and they allow fewer swimming and playing in that area for the guests it is 1 km from the hotel. Rest restaurant is decent and the food is delicious but the rates are at a bit higher side as compared to the quality served. Rooms are spacious and there is ample furnishing, fridge, kettle,tv etc basic requirements. Service is a bit slow but overall satisfactory. I have come here for a 40 days stay for training. Looking forward to a cosy stay..

We booked Southern Residency as recommended by VIT Chennai. Location is fine, easily accessible by bus service, taxi and auto. The staff is courteous, soft spoken and customer centric. Breakfast was complimentary, there was lot of variety and was good. We had our dinner at the hotel couple of times and the food was also good. There is scope of improvement in Housekeeping (Room), rooms are big and clean but we could see some cockroaches, towels were not changed daily, have to ask for replenishment of bathroom supplies, water bottles, tea/Coffee sachets. But overall the experience is good. Done I stayed for 5 days and my stay experience was good. The best part is, it's just 20mins away from VIT.

But some room difference Make my trip room was not clean one tea cup broken, tray not clean .(online book) Booking on hotel reception room was clean and water glass rap in paper , tea cup is good . But hotel staff was supporting on every call .

The rooms are clean and tidy, The service they're providing is good and decent Location was is main area ,there are lot of shops near and bus stand was very close

Overall it's a great stay in southern,I have visited for my professional stay,nice hospitality,morng complementary breakfast is so great and I would recommend prawn biryani and vanjaram fry if you wanna try some good food in the restaurant.

Nearest to VIT Chennai campus. Rooms were nice and tidy with good house keeping , staff is courteous and helpfull. Location has nearly by market to buy all goods stationary, hospital, medical, grocery, cosmetics and veg restaurant etc.
