Hotel Southern, New Delhi - Hotel in Delhi - Central, India

The hotel is in a very convenient location, close to all major attractions and also to the metro stations. It's a decent hotel in the middle of a very busy and bustling area and not anything fancy. The bathrooms aren't very great and one of the rooms had issues with the water drainage. There was also a distinct mold like smell in the rooms that wasn't very pleasant as well.

Very worst experience Me and my family with 2 small kids booked 2 rooms in southern hotel from make my trip when we checked in they are all of sudden change the hotel to southern residency ( budget category) which is totally a different building with different locations and then when I asked to give me actual room I booked they are asking me for difference of Rs800 per room per night so asking me for 3200 then they will shift me to original hotel I booked. This is totally money minded thigh and I left with no other option to stay here as the booking is non refundable. Now they showing me that our main hotel is fully occupied but still if you pay 3200 will give you room. Other things they are giving stay at one hotel and for breakfast I need to go the other building.

The best hotel near Karol bagh Delhi and also with all facilities. I would recommend for anyone who is traveling from South... This hotel has been my only choice whenever I visited Delhi. I have been patron for the last 10+ years. But the hotel's maintenance, attitude of staff and food quality has gone down the drain. I had the worst experience ever during my recent visit. Will never plan for this hotel again. Worn out linen, AC sounding like a generator, Worst complementary breakfast. Rooms very dirty. Very sagy mattress. I guess there is totally no management involvement in the hotel.

Pros - Nice and Friendly staffs, Clean Rooms & Toilet, Quick Service, Good Breakfast, Clean Bed Linen and Towels and Good Location. Offer complimentary RO water. This was my 3rd time. A veg and non veg restaurant is there in 1st flour which serves delicious food. Cons - Breakfast spread is limited and all the same everyday. No fresh juice. Until the room number is told, they don't give the plates to eat.

The hotel was looking completely different from the picture shown in the make my trip website. The room and toilet was not hygienic and bed spread was not changed from the previous visitor. Toilet was not clean and toilet gun was not functioning and damaged. Over all terrible experience.

The best hotel in Delhi with all facilities. Wonderful staff with the best coordination among them with thorough professional behavior. All rooms are absolutely neat and clean, well maintained in all ways, of course the food is awesome. The review submitted is absolutely genuine.

The staff at the reception tried to downgrade our booking service! I pre-booked the hotel from an online app for the main building but after reaching the location the staff informed us to go to the other building beside the main building which is a clear case of mis-selling. We were finally allocated a room in the main building only after some harsh disagreement with the staff at the reception. Though the room was good with all the amenities for the price, I won't recommend the hotel as the first option anymore for the people travelling to Delhi from the southern states because of the exhibition of such malpractice by the staff. They are banking on the name 'southern' but the costly food didn't taste remotely close to the southern food. Normally the hotels are generous with the checkout time by up to 30 or so minutes but the oversmart receptionist again got an earful when he started lecturing us that we had to leave exactly on or before the checkout time. This behaviour is not acceptable by a 3-star hotel which expects business from repeat guests from time to time.
