Beautiful resort. We stayed at the topmost floor with an unobstructed view of River Ichamati. This is my first time staying in a Sonar Bangla property. Would love to visit their other properties too in future. We will always remember our vacation in Taki. Sending love.

Amazing location! Dawn is beautiful if you are up early enough. If you book their premium room make sure it's 2 nd floor up. Our 1 st floor room had very little river view. Food is generally tasteless. Breakfast was bad, three members in our group felt uneasy. They should consider putting up net doors as there are a lot of insects & mosquitoes that come inside. The staff is very helpful.You won't be given, extra bottles of water though as a rule ( so said housekeeping). Do carry your own water bottle for refilling or buy water

Hotel Sonar Bangla in taki is by far the best and most expensive hotel in Taki. Situated at riverside, this place offers great views. With ample vegetation around, any person will have pleasant experience staying here. Rooms are well maintained. The only area of improvement i can think of is food. The quality and variety need some improvement.

A place of natural beauty and calm environment. Rooms are spacious but need attention on visitors parking issue. Rest service is good and staff are also very friendly

We had drove down 50 kms to Taki for a special occasion. The "Ichhamati" restaurant, with high rating apparently, at "Sonar Bangla" told me that we can only order a basic, overpriced buffet, which had nothing, practically. The ala carte menu is only available for boarders. It was a day trip for us. We did not have the time to stay. I found this utterly nonsensical. The restaurant staff is unhelpful in general. When I communicated my grievance to the concierge, there was no acknowledgment or effort to look into it. Overall, quite a disgusting experience.

This was my second visit to the resort . Regrettably I see the service quality worsening . Tariffs are exorbitant given the minimal facilities they offer . While the support staff at junior level are reasonably helpful , the front desk , check in / check out desk management is disturbingly poor . The rooms have good views overlooking the ichhamati river . However , facilities within the room were substandard . No slippers , only one towel in a double room , no hand towel , restricted drinking water all add up to the dissatisfaction. We had an additional guest , and had to ask for additional blanket , sheets and pillows . That too , the phone in the room doesn't work . And I had to walk up to the storage room. Food is just about manageable but rather expensive. Only two charging points is yet another inconvenience in today's date and time . Overall , the experience is average tilting more towards unsatisfactory . With prices slashed to a 30% , 40 % of the tariff can be an acceptable stay for a night , only and only because of the location.

Food was not nice , ordered fish and chips , fish was very bad and tasteless mostly they used frozen basa fish . Noodles had bad smell , it because the vegetables were not washed so it was smelling like medicine, Buffett was not nice , very limited items , I asked for sunny side up one of the staff said it will take 30mins , latter I spoke with the manager he said it will be delivered to the table , waited for more than 30 mins and left . I will not visit again :(

Wonderful location on the bank of Ichhamoti. We were on a day trip, we had a fantastic day. Nice garden throughout the bank of the river to spend leisure time. Have swimming pool beside the bank and a swimming costume on rent for men only, girls need to carry a swimming costume of their own, not a hot water pool. You can take a boat ride arranged by Resort itself, one important point to share, before you take the ride, know whether it is high tide or low tide, if it is low tide then never try to take boat ride, since water of river goes so low that boat gets stuck on the sand beneith. The boatman will say or insist that you can take a ride during low tide, but don't believe them, since they lied and we got stuck for more than 2hrs in the middle of the river. Food was nice, but cold drinks are sold above MRP, which is a crime.
