Hotel Skanda Palace - Hotel in Thiruttani - Thiruvallur, India

It's around 3 km away from Temple but very silent surrounding. No crowd or traffic area. Good property with 2 elevators and good fire fighting system. Staff is well motivated to offer the best of services. Though limited menu on the card, room service too is quite fast. Being vegetarian, the food was enjoyed. Housekeeping upto the mark. Mini tiffin as a complimentary breakfast was good and filling. Even second helping is frequently asked. Ideal for people on pilgrimage and overnight stay.

Rooms were very clean. Very good bathroom hygiene and view was very good. All time we had hot water supply. Room service was responsive too. Food was also good. Only bad experience we had is at night power kept failing and the problem with room is we need to take the power card off wait for 30-40 secs then re insert after every time they switch on generator.

Stayed overnight with a friend to attend a wedding in Tiruttani. Front desk staff was courteous. Room size was ok for 2 people. Vegetarian hotel without a bar. Food was good. Nothing near by. It's right outside Tirutani located next to a sand quarry or place where they load sand on trucks. Nothing else to see from my room. Good place to stay with family. No doubt on that. Reducing a star for frequent power outages and the room I stayed didn't get the power restored while other rooms got. Happened at least 3 times during my stay.

I would give it a 2 star as it's only the rooms which are good. Stayed for a night this week. Service is pathetic, ACs did not work the whole night for 2 rooms which we had booked, there's power fluctuations in the night and the hotel staff expects us to wake up from the sleep and come down to the lobby to complain about it in the midnight. They do not have a proper power back up system, when complained I so happened to speak to MD Mr. Munikannaiya who is extremely rude while he speaks and do not have a sense of how to treat the hotel guests. This was a major issue for us considering the weather conditions in Tirutanni and it's difficult to stay without AC especially in the night.

As the name says, it's an PALACE only Awesome hotel. My first & sincere thanks to Dinesh Sir. He supported me a lot during my stay. Hotel Incharges are very polite and they were quick in response especially service and amenities. My special thanks to Sharal Kumar, One more mam and sir at the front desk. The Hotel is though lil bit away from centre, facilities are wonderful especially food. Chef Kirubakaran having golden hands in preparing food. He rocked all the dishes and his assistances Lakshmipathy & aravind served perfectly. Wonderful environment and you know, Hotel Skanda Palace is also an important place to visit if you are in Thiruthani We enjoyed staying in Hotel Skanda palace and it's our permanent place in our future check-ins.

Very poor and In-experienced team for service. No proper coordination in service. They asking the member from the event to tell when to refill the dish. Everytime when the dish over ppl need to wait for ages to refill the same dish. Seems like they don't have enough cook to for the event. We ordered for 400ppl they couldn't handle that much itself...Strongly not recommended for marriage event unless you wanted heated conservation at the end. They won't even accepting they flaws and simply blaming. Rooms were clean and neat.

Good location but with limited shops around. Need to provide driver's room in the hotel.

I went absolutely GaGa when I visited the Hotel. Awesome spacious Room, with a large bathroom and WC. Rain Shower. Reached at 11 PM in the night after a tough night driving and enjoyed hot horlicks to relax. Had crazy thin Dosas with piping hot Sambar and two Chutneys in the morning. Very friendly Staff. Must visit if staying overnight at Thirutani
