It's a 5-6 mins drive from Gauhati station. It's in the market. Rooms are finely decorated. Beds are soft. Service is good. They have restaurants too. Food quality and taste is good. In rooms I have one problem that charger points is not there if you use mosquito protections. Otherwise a nice stay.
The location is great, Polton bazar is in walking distance. 5-6 min walk from Guwahati station. Rooms are good, bathrooms are okish. Perfect for one day staying before your journey to the mountains
Not happy with the hospitality. The reception boy was always busy with his phone. Reception area was way too hot - no AC no fan. Wifi was also not working.
A little bit old property, but reasonable rates and good food. Budget lovers won't disappoint. Breakfast (complimentary) is awesome.

I strongly advise against staying at this hotel in the future, as the behavior of the manager is completely unacceptable and unprofessional. It's important for hotels to create a welcoming and inclusive environment for all guests, regardless of their race, ethnicity, or nationality. It's unfortunate that I had to experience this type of behavior, and I hope that the hotel management takes appropriate action to address the situation and ensure that it doesn't happen to any other guests in the future. Their language is " We know how to talk with a bengali, and how to deal with Bengalis". Worst Experience in a hotel like this. In summary, based on my experience, I would not recommend Hotel Siroy Lily in Paltanbazar, Guwahati to other travelers.
