Hotel Shoven - Hotel in Karur, Davanagere - Davangere, India

I am writing to express my disappointment with the recent experience I had at your hotel. While I found the hotel itself to be good, I was disappointed with the behavior of the hotel manager and the staff at the hotel booking area. The hotel manager did not greet me with a smile and his behavior towards me was not satisfactory. Whenever I asked him anything, he did not reply properly which made me feel unwelcome. Moreover, the quality of the food provided was not up to the mark. Additionally, whenever I called from my room to order something, the response I received was not good. I have visited many hotels in the past, but I have never come across such unprofessional staff. Therefore, I would like to request the hotel management to take necessary steps to improve the behavior of the staff and the quality of food offered at the hotel. I hope that my feedback will be taken into consideration and necessary actions will be taken to ensure that guests have a pleasant stay at your hotel.

Need lots of improvement... Did not provide drinking water... Had to ask for a towel... No basic toiletries provided... The cost was high with no basic provisions....

Booked two rooms. one room was absolutely clean and neat but another was not good. Bathroom basin tap was broker and not able to use it. Owner was very good and co operate us to extend the timing for 2 hours extra with no extra charge. overall good for short stay

It's a basic, no frills hotel. We booked 2 A/c rooms. The rooms are neat, A/c working and the bathroom is clean. They have a lift. The reception counter is professional and the bell boy helpful. Water bottles are not complimentary. They provide towels and a small soap as toiletries. The location is around 10mins from the highway. They have a restaurant but it was closed when r reached there on a Sunday 8am. That wasn't a problem though as there are good eateries in the vicinity.

Regret having booked this hotel. Except being located on a wide road, there is nothing to say positive about the hotel. After paying, there was not even a single water bottle kept in the room. Room space, mattress comfort, cleanliness all below par. There is a restaurant attached to the hotel but when we checked in the morning, most items were not ready, so we left.As we were on a long journey we had to break journey and book a hotel in Davangere to stay overnight. Our stay at this hotel confirmed our initial estimation. Would not recommend to anyone.

Online booking is recommended because they tried to charge almost double the price for a room as we arrived there during night.

Service is not really good... But room are good comparatively.

Worst experience. Not a single thing was available in the room. Every time we have to ask, tv not working. Even complementary water bottles were not provided and charged. Bed was sinking as soon as we sat on it and not at all comfortable. We parked our vehicle in front of the hotel and other vehicles were parked behind our vehicle, no space to remove our vehicle. Hotel management doesn't even care to find out whose vehicle it is and preferred to sleep instead of providing support to us. We wasted 45 min in early morning. Stay away..!!
