Hotel Shiraz Continental - Hotel in Amritsar - Amritsar, India

It was worst experience. The Hotel doesn't provide the facility as asked for (Refrigerator). The facility was arranged on arrival and then if it is not working or any staff plays mischief, they start blaming the guest. They don't feel anything while cheating the guest. Food is not to the hotel standards. Recommend avoiding staying in this hotel.

Worst experience my family and my relatives could ever feel ... if you guys planning to have parties or functions please avoid these money sucking leeches ...there staff members name as jagtar singh have very arrogant and unprofessional attitude towards there customers, left the hotel with full of disappointment and never ever going to come back ...try not book them ... highly not recommended these unprofessional nd rude staff people.

"DONT BELIEVE ON GOOGAL IMAGES" This was our worst experience we experienced on shiraz Continental. DON'T BELIEVE ON GOOGLE IMAGES...THERE ARE 2 HOTELS "SHIRAZ REGENCY & SHIRAZ CONTNENTAL"... MOST OF THE BOOKINGS ARE TAKEN IN WORST ONE i.e. SHIRAZ CONTINENTAL..NO LIFT, NO PROFESSIONAL MANPOWER. After reaching there first we have to face a rude and unprofessional person who was sitting on reception eating gutkha. His behavior was like "MY WAY OR HIGHWAY". I was having 2 kids of 3 yrs and 5 yrs and my wife, firstly they gave room no 103, and after 30 mins power cut started, they kept only one bulb and a fan on inverter, fan was not working even on inverter. I requested them then they shifted me on 105. I asked a person when power supply will resume....he told me that it is not confirmed might it will not come whole day. They wont give power backup and AC supply are controlled by them. They will switch off AC supply if u use AC more then they expect. Rooms are small and bedsheets are having stain pf oil. Blankets are stinking. Rooms are local type don't believe on images shown on internet.

I had a pleasant stay for 2 nights. The room is big and spacious. Staff is warm and helpful. The hot water in bathroom was little inconsistent however overall it was a good central location and value for money. Cons - they have a rooftop night club / restaurant that plays music till 11/11.30 pm and that's loud ( to the extent of windows vibrating) .. so maybe that can be reduced in the near future.

Rooms very pathetic , lots of mosquitoes , hotel is under renovation so lots of dust , basic housekeeping was not done . They don't provide complimentary mineral water . No coldrinks or deserts in their dinner package. They use vanaspati ghee in preparations. Staff was polite but i personally wont wish to come back or recommend anyone . Tuktuk take 100 rs to drop till golden temple. Photo posting is not allowed in this review else would have uploaded the room and premises photos. Please email me if you need photos.

So we went through the Google reviews before booking this hotel. And honestly people need to put original reviews. Hotel is in a market place so forget about taking a nap in afternoon as the honking of vehicles would rather give you more headache even on 5th floor. Rooms are very small. You can feel heaviness in the air(damp air) although they had heavily sprayed room freshener. Bathrooms were good, nice and clean. But the service was not good. Breakfast came after an hour, 2 reminders were given before it turned up, so you can imagine. The place is rather cramped up. It lacks fresh air.

Rooms are Spacious & close to the main road. However they have not provided toiletries or water. Have asked for extra bed but was not provided. When we had slept they asked if you need it. There was no door mat outside the bathroom.

A nightmarish room with thuggish service. Don't even know where to start. The entire building is extremely run down, rusty items everywhere, the bathroom door had parts with no tiles and the floors were dirty. Would not recommend at all. They even gave us the best room already At least the food was half decent. Thank god we only stayed 1 night.
