Hotel Sheela - Hotel in Agra - Agra, India

Location is outstanding, but hotel rooms are not up to the mark. No exhaust in bathroom, no intercom, rooms are small ad restaurant is operational only after 8 a.m. so early tea is not possible. Overall service is ok. ok. Staff is supportive specially the manager, Mr. Sanjay.

It was my worst experience there. Except being near to Take Mahal entry gate there are rest everything substandard. No saucer with tea cups, no straw with chocolate milk shake, ants were crawling all around. Food is very expensive. Mo geyser in the washroom, no intercom, no bill facility...pathetic system. Just coz it's close to the Taj Mahal, rest things they do not work on. Guys, book this place on your risk. We changed the place.

Rooms are near and clean.. Service staff is so helpful and courteous.. The best thing is it's location.. The tajmahal entry gate is just 150 m away from the hotel... Must try it....

Hotel Sheela is a fine place if you are there to visit the Taj Mahal. It is about 200-300 metres away from the east gate of the Taj Mahal. The Good: - Well, the location of this hotel is a standout above anything else. The Taj Mahal is at a walkable distance from this hotel. - The entire structure of the hotel is highly inspired from nature. There is a garden at the entrance which looks even better at night. And there are several plants and flowers across the entire hotel. - The rooms are comparatively smaller but comfortable enough. - As the entire hotel is set on the ground floor, old people or specially able people or people with knee issues would find the place convenient. The Bad: - Service is terrible at the hotel. They are way too laid back with literally everything. - The restaurant within the hotel serves fresh food but they'd take literally more than an hour to prepare it. One would rather place the order and go for a good long walk around the place. - Due to the garden area and a lot of plants within the premises, a lot of bugs and insects you might find in your room. Which sometimes feels dangerous as well. Conclusion: Hotel Sheela is a fine place if you want to stay literally next to the Taj Mahal. However there are certain drawbacks with their service and obviously no parking zone placement. But overall if you are only there to visit the Taj Mahal, then it is simply the best hotel to be in.

Food is very expensive pls check before ordering and rooms are very below average. The only advantage is the Taj Mahal gate is just 100 meters away walkable distance.

Restaurant 10/10. Location 10/10. its like an own complex and garden and all is very beautiful. Friendly and helpful people. The room itself unfortunately gets very hot. Next time I should hava taken one with AC. Its a Bungalow. Therefore ants crawl in. But no other bugs. The restroom was not very pleasant but for that price I will not say anything against it.

No availability of intercom 4. Only cash is accepted.

Highly recommended for the Nature lovers. Most pleasant environment. This place doesn't look like a hotel but it is a place surrounded by natural habitat and quite comparable with resorts. Rooms are okay. Not too good and not too bad. I loved the surroundings, birds, dancing peacocks, fearlessly playing squirrels, monkeys, parrots, woodpeckers, hornbill etc. We loved the food. it's very tasty though the prices are on bit higher side. I traveled to Agra on 26.03.2023 along with my family. Stayed here for two days. Captured beautiful birds and nature(you can see the pics uploaded by me in this review). And definitely will visit again if I get a chance. Vehicles/Cabs will not reach this hotel due to barricades placed at around 600m. So you need to prepare to walk at least 600m to reach and to leave this hotel. I found this a challenge because we have a good amount luggage to carry. However hotel team said they will help though I managed by myself. Apart from odds, I bet you will definitely love this place.
