Hotel Shankar Jhontu - Restaurant in Hadla, Maithon - Paschim Bardhaman, India

This hotel is run by a small family of 3 people. They were extremely helpful and friendly with us and we had a lot of conversations. The food quality was also very good and budget friendly too. The area didn't have too many restaurants but this one was the best I would say and it was also recommended by our hotel staff.

Road side hotel, foods are good . You can customized your food. Foods are costlier than normal rate. Owner behaviour is very rude. Be carefull about payment before placing order.

A Bengali hotel and also a good place for having lunch, morning breakfast, tea etc. Nearly 1 km away from the Maithon Dam, this hotel is a good option if you want to have simple "ddaal-bhaat" at noon. Their behavior is also cordial. Food quality is also good.

Basically it is a tea stall but they can arrange lunch, dinner if you order early. They also prepared dish with local fish

Very very Rude and Rough behavior of the owner. Alcohol, Beers are frequently sold open in public. So you can easily understand the class and quality of people visiting this Stall (basically Tea stall ). At all not suitable and Recommendable for Gentle and Family men.

It's a roadside dhaba Or restaurant near maithon dam. This place is not so big. Hardly 30 persons can avail their food all together. Quality and taste of food in this restaurant is awesome. You will get tea, snacks, bread-omlet, lunch ( veg & non veg), dinner, mineral water etc. Jhantu da is owner as well as cook. Behaviour of him and other staffs is good. I personally visited this place, ordered fish thali and plain rice with Beguni, daal, veg curry, large piece of Katla fish were served. Taste was good. Price is only Rs. 100 ( for fish thali). If you pay Rs. 100 then you will have non limited rice, daal, veg curry, 1 piece of fish, 2 pieces of Beguni. One more thing I must share with you that if you are a team of 20/30 people, then it will be better to order your food few hours earlier. If you want to taste fishes collected from Maithon Dam, then tell him ( Jhantu da) over phone earlier. He will arrange everything as per your requirement.

It is a roadside small hotel.They basically cook foods for tourists. But you have to give order in advance.They cook very tasty and delicious foods. Rice, curries, chicken,fishes, chutneys everythings are available .They cook very tasty desi chicken.Good quality snacks are available.Just like chicken pakora, onion pakora etc.Tea,soft drinks are also sold here.Rate is reasonable.
