Hotel Shalimar Residency - Hotel in Kochi, Ernakulam - Ernakulam, India

We stayed here at the time of our trip to Kerala. We found this place to be really good and located in hr center. You can walk here from Railway station, rent a teo wheeler from nearby. I liked the place. Rooms were clean. We stayed in a non ac room and that we found budget oriented. Surely recommend.

Nice staff, and they're into a sustainable business model. Rather than providing individual water bottles, they kept large purified water bottles on each floor, and we can collect water from there. Will come again.

I haven't booked the rooms yet. I wanted to contact but the number isn't available, expecting the interaction here. Before booking I need to know about the room conditions at present of the hotel, if there's hot water in the bathroom, blanket for the guests, safety of the guest, hygiene standards, etc.

it's a good hotel to stay just next to railway station room are quite big to stay inn and clean as well staff is cooperative metro station also near and good hotels for food near overall nice experience

Stayed just 1 night as couldn't get a room anywhere else. The bathroom was disgusting so I asked for it to be cleaned. Two cleaners arrived and thought it ok but tried to clean abit more, still absolutely filthy. The young guy on reception is miserable. Couldn't get away quick enough as it's horrible.

First of all, I have never written any negative feedback so far in my lifetime but this hotel stay made me to write one considering public interest. It was a horrible experience ! We (2 adults, 2 kids) booked the hotel room well in advance but the receptionist made us to wait along with my 11 months baby girl for almost 30 minutes from 3.15 AM in the midnight. He said the room is not booked; Then we had to show him the proof and after sometime, he told the room is booked for 1 adult and 2 children. It took an eternity to make him understand the room was booked for 2 adults and 2 kids. He convinced us to take a suite for a 2 hours fresh-up whereas we already booked another one. God knows the reason. He was not at all receving what we talk and was terribly slow in responding which is not a basic etiquette for a receptionist. Not sure on what basis, the owner has employed him. The proprietor can check the CCTV footage on 24th May from 3.15 AM onwards. Our expectation is that, since its already booked atleast he could have been prepared with the details. We had to wake him up for 5 minutes in the reception. After that , all the above mentioned chaos happened. Above all of that, he got money from us as well as from the agent stating that the payment was not made earlier. Sad that we didnt have proof; didnt expect this kind of experience. Then, we had to go back to the hotel to claim the amount. Please replace that specs-wala receptionist boy , else this hotel will receive even more worst feedback for sure !! Special mention about the room with full of mosquitoes. Can never give any kind of positve review apart from the location !!

Very nice location, near the railway station ( walkable distance), near the market, every auto guy knows the hotel, every market restaurant is very near, bathrooms are very hygienic, reasonable prices.

We stayed at the hotel for one night. The hotel was clean, and all the staff were very friendly and welcoming. As we were checking out early and missed breakfast they kindly made us some dinner and brought it to our room which was very nice of them. We had all the necessary requirements for a comfortable stay at a reasonably price. Thanks!
