The location is perfect, walking distance from the golden temple. However, the room could have been better. The mattress wasn't comfortable. The bedsheets could be cleaner. The washroom was fine, however no toilet roll was provided. Also, there's no lift and our room was on the 3rd floor, so it was quite tedious to go up and down. All in all, the location is best and it was worth the price paid.
This property is really good and so near to Golden Temple, Just around 100 meters from temple. Vehicle cant be taken to this property as this is in market itself, so be carefull on this thing. Rest, Servive, Rooms, Staff and Cleaniness for all I'll give 4 starts. Go for this Hotel. I stayed here in October month and I'loved the stay.
A nice cosy and economical hotel very close to Baba Atal Ji's Gurudwara, Darbar Sahib is at a walking distance so overall a great experience at this hotel.

We are disappointed by the selection of SB Residency. We visited on 03rd March and it was our 1st ever visit to Amritsar and we had a bad selection of hotel..Cons - 1. There was no lift in the hotel which was mentioned in the amenities also, but for a 3-floor hotel it is bit expected to have a lift.2. The hotel is situated in so narrow lanes that it was bear impossible for an e-rikshaw to enter. Be careful in your choice of this hotel as we have to carry luggage as well so we struggled to get to the hotel and during check-out.We expect to have proper scrutiny of hotels and their locations.Pros - 1. Only advantage of selecting this hotel is, it is situated at only 300 mtr (approx.) from Golden Temple gate.Lift services were not available in Hotel. Also, hotel location was in very narrow lanes.

I recently stayed at SB Residency and was pleased with its location inside a market lane near Kotumal Sweets, with walking distance to Golden Temple and less than 1km away from Jallianwala Bagh. The room was decent with an attached bathroom, perfect for a family stay. The hotel offered amenities such as free Wi-Fi, air conditioning, room service, flat-screen TV, dry cleaning service, telephone, housekeeping, ticket/tour assistance, paid pickup/drop, and doctor on call. The staff and manager were helpful and accommodating. However, note that there is no elevator, and guests have to use the stairs to reach the third floor. Overall, SB Residency offered great value for money, and I would highly recommend it to anyone visiting Amritsar.
