Though it's little away from the Palani temple, but it's walkable only. Rooms are neat and clean. Very courteous staff. There's no restaurant but there's a restaurant Balaji Bhavan where food is very good and economical. Totally value for money.
Good rooms but around 1.5 kms to reach good restaurants, Hills entrance or Avinankudi temple. Need to get an auto every time.
The rooms were clean and the surrounding were calm. There were lack of toiletries like soap and bath towel. Hot water is available 24/7. Overall a pretty decent place to stay a couple of days.
Had a very worst experience during our last week stay in this lodge. We were provided with a room which was not cleaned and sanitised inspite of booking priorly a day before with advance payment. Even after complaining immediately to the manager, he didn't give proper response, instead spoke in a very harsh way. Due to time constraint we started to temple and After returning from the temple for a nap, we were annoyed due to an unpleasant smell in the room and found a baby diaper under the cot. Dono when the previous customer had left , and it was not even disposed by the house keeper properly. Literally the staff gave that room for use.... Waste of money and not satisfied with their hospitality.
When I decided to visit Palani Temple I had no clue where I would be staying. A search over several travel portals including Tripadvisor was throwing up Sasti Hotel as the best choice with high rating. The other entries did strike a few discordant notes and hence I decided to opt for Velan Temple View. Since I was with my family I had to be even more careful in my choice of stay. Hence I did not opt to book through any web portal and did a direct booking. The hotel definitely outclasses others in Palani as it is a brand new facility. The rooms were spacious (making me still wonder that parents and two teenaged kids could be easily accommodated with an extra bed on the floor, four adults, modern, brightly lit with a TV and a good cable connection, coffee kettle and the toilets modern, spacious, spic and span. The corridors on each floor wide and a big lobby where one can relax if you decide to unwind away from your room. The hotel arranged a free pick and drop to the railway station. They could also serve some cookies along with the tea. There is ample parking space in the hotel. In between the temple visits I had a good relaxing two days. Everything is definitely grand about this hotel in which case should not the price be grand too!!! And the Palani temple? Just look from the car porch of the hotel you will have a breathtaking view of the hill temple
Rooms and Toilets are really good and clean.... Good ambience... Free and High Speed Wifi... Water Heater... Staffs are super friendly, polite and ready to help always... Great customer service and hospitality... All good... Only one thing that I didn't like is the DTH was not working as their account was not recharged... But, overall, I am really Happy with the rooms and services.
