Hotel Saptarshi - Hotel in Bankura - Bankura, India

I stayed in Hotel Saptarshi on 29/09/2023. My over-all experience is very good. Room maintenance can be improved. The room service personnel named - Swarup Adhikari was very good. He had a very charming attitude with a passion to help and provide a better service. He had such a good behaviour. He had suggested me to have the chrispy Konjee Fish which was amazing in taste. A must try. Overall the best room service attendant I had in many days! Overall the food quality is good, the room service is great and hotel can be maintained better.

Rooms are good but full of bad smell. Bathrooms are dirty. I saw a 2450 rs rooms bathroom it looks very dirty. 3360 rs rooms are big but bathrooms are not upto the mark. They are charging too much money but according to me rooms did not value for money. They have an foreign liquor off shop at ground floor. Reception desk is on the first floor. Location of the hotel is very good but the price is too high. They give free breakfast. Rooms are not very clean also. Stuffs behaviour good. All rooms have AC. But still I have to say rooms are not worthy for the price you have to pay there. Still you can go there with friends but if you went there for staying with family please choose other options.

The quality of food has taken a nosedive. Last night we were there and ordered our usual Murgh Musallam. And what we got served is this abomination [Pic 1]. Just to give you a point of comparison, this [Pic 2] is from one of our earlier visits. You can clearly see the difference. This is absolutely disappointing. We had to return it and order something else. And the other items felt like plain chicken kosha that you make at home. Tasted OK as best. The wait staff and manager were courteous, but what good a restaurant is for if the food is bad. Going there used to be a point of joy for us. But I guess it's time to move on.

If you have any idea about visiting Bankura in near future you can surely stay here. The rooms are great and foods too. The employees are quite good and its near Lal Bazar bus stand Bankura, West Bengal.

Horrible experience, booked via makemytrip. I was promised a room with balcony, newspaper and other things. But nothing was there. I booked for three adults and paid extra for that but the third person was made to sleep on a mattress on floor. The rooms are old and damp is there. The washroom is also bad. Complementary breakfast is probably on first come basis because if you are late but within the prescribed time even then you may be told that a particular item is finished. Moral: Go for a cheaper hotel otherwise you will regret.

Very very good food and ambiance. Behavior of staff very very good. One of the most reliable and well known restaurant and bar this is. All type of restaurant thali available. Beside Lalbazar main road.

So nice ambience inside.. Taste is good here.. Whenever i come Bankura for any purpose or any work, I always prefer saptarshi anytime.. It has good &safe parking facility which is good.. Staffs are also good. One of the best and old bar cum restaurant in bankura. Butter nun is good here also you can try paneer item here.. Overall a good family restaurant

The food was freshly cooked, and staff were courteous, sparkle clean restaurant, pocket friendly menu. I just would like to take them to notice regarding salad. They can add more salad option as main course.
