Shanti Hotel is a good hotel to stay for a day or two. It is located opposite to ASTC gate. It's very noisy since it is situated right beside one of the busiest road in Paltan Bazaar. It's a lodge, so one has to arrange his/her meal from outside. But you can get drinking water from the receptionist. Price of the room is a bit high for a two bedded room, but the room is quite big & spacious. So... The rooms & the hotel premises was regularly cleaned by a safaiwala with disinfectant. Water in the bathroom smells stinky sometimes. In the evening & at night, it looks a little muddy or smells like iron. Due to it's location, it was very hard to get a good night sleep. It was very noisy; the traffic noise, the announcement from the nearby railway station, train horns. I woke up tired on my first day. But I can get habituated to the environment quickly. So 2nd day was quite good, for me. But if you get disturbed by a single noise while sleeping, i wouldn't recommend this hotel. The worst part is Mosquito. It's a common thing one has to face while staying in Guwahati. So I brought my own mosquito net & bedsheet. But there were no hooks to put on. I asked the helper, but he denied about the mosquito problem. There are CCTV cameras in this hotel's premises. And the main gate is closed and opened accordingly. Overall, my time in this hotel was good. However, there are lots to improve.
Very Bad room but location is too crowded
Yes it's just ok. Too hot inside the rooms. You can get a view of the roads though and it's slightly cooler than the hot rooms it's only good for the patients of Minakshi medical. Have fun
Won't recommend to anyone. Please don't book this hotel. No cleanliness, lots of bed bugs and mosquitoes. It's better to stay at railway platform than to stay at this hotel.
Room are k for the price but the water which come for tap of bathroom look like mudy water..... clearly not transparent water . So if u have allergie to unclean water then avoid this hotel that's my opinion..
Faltu lodge. Dirty room, dirty bed, dirty bed sheetsand full of bugs, mites and mosquitos . Everything is dirty and smells worst. Only one bathroom so u may have to wait. I could not sleep whole night. Don't go there u will surely regret. This is for hotel manager
It is okay for staying for some hours in Guwahati. Near to railway station and in a well communicated place. But rooms are not clean enough. Bathrooms are even worse.
This place is for budgeteers looking for cheap option.The rooms are just like any typical Indian cheap lodges . It costs around 400 for a double bed.It is located just in front of the bus terminal and train station.
