Hotel Samrat (esplanade) - Hotel in Kolkata - Kolkata, India

I love this hotel becoz of one of the staff which is at the age of our father keeps you protected and stay without any tension, been here in this hotel when even i visit kolkata and Esplanade metro station is just some steps away.

Literally the worst hotel I have ever been to. Quality of their service was at the lowest. If it were up to me I would have given them a NEGATIVE five star.

One of the worst experiences ever. Booked the room for 2 nights by the time we reached the hotel the hotel staff gave off the rooms to someone else. Hotel staff's are very rude. Don't even think booking a room here. They used abusive language. They didn't even call us before giving out our rooms. Our booking was confirmed, paid fully yet they decided to cancel. So please make your decision wisely. It's good to pay little money extra and book rooms in good hotels . I have learnt my lessons.

Nice room and space ...I stayed in 3 bed AC room for 2 days ...also supportive staff ...... I don't know no why other reviews rated is low but I will suggest it definitely.....and if I came again I will surely stay here

not up to the mark, location is easy, surrounding is good but rooms are average. they didn't provide even a clean bedsheet and towel

I checked in there in 2018. Haunted environments keep the lights off most of the time. At first impression, it looks like a rehab center. The environment is dirty. The water seeped from the roof to the floor. The staff could not provide good service. But now I can not say what the situation is. Overall my experience was not good, not recommended

Very poor quality rooms, horrible experience every where durty all blankets are durty bad smelled, bleaching powder smelled , bad condition, bed not comfortable to sleep, ac room but remote not allowed, direct connection, Only on & off system . Charging points condition also bad, may be For room service only 2 person available one is old angry men and another one is polite young men No dining area or no food facility at the premises, you should take out side or order one of them to bring that your room, only bed sheet and pelow cover clean. This is highly request to the owner please look in to the matter very carefully and sensitively we people are always travelling entire year for work or any others purpose after a hard work for a entire day we need atleast basic convenience. Please take care of your premises from your bottom of the heart. may be my words are hurting you but i am sorry i am just shareing my experience thats is , hope you take it in a positive way

Only Good point is its location. Except this point anything related to it is not good .Bad points are-1)As I have given pictures, walls are damp and fungus growth seen. 2) cockroaches are roaming around..3) Room given to me is on basement part of the building without any city view or open view, The roof height is very low but the pictures and description given is much different4) Mattress on my room was damaged and very much depression at a point.5) Not worth for staying with family.6) Funny part is that if you locate the hotel in Google map, you will found the property with 3 star hotel tag.7) Don't do booking as they will allot you bad room only .I will never visit again.
