Simple rooms and comparatively cheaper than other stays on the same road. So expect the similar in terms of beds. The beach entrance is extremely near from this place. Note: There was no window view from our room. I am assuming there isn't any from other rooms as well. TV in the room was barely working.
Not Even capable of 1 star. This was our best restaurant since 1994 School Days... But now it has turned to a looting machine... Please do not refer it's menu, it's wrong by the way and not updated since when I don't know... Everything is chargeable now a days (Thali) was always unlimited. He has spoiled his name by looting people it seems. I paid Rs. 250/- after Rs. 160/- Thali just for 1 Mug Subji & Sheera. You can visit a restaurant just 25 meters ahead named Hotel Aahar. It is full of people and it is doing well it seems as there is not a crow in Hotel Samrat whereas i Hotel Aahar waiting is going on. The food was cold and no one sitting there accept me. Very poor performance and by God not even a 3rd class restaurant presently. Please do not visit this Marwadi Restaurant, and if you are willing to get looted by this Marwadi, you can visit with your family. And after reading so much, still you visit, kindly confirm against the Menu, and specially for Thali... Thanks Regards
It was nice experience with my family. Very cooperative staff. Good food in their restaurant. Clean bedding and towels. Nice bathrooms. Located very near to sea face beach. Walking distance from nani daman taxi stand. Great location to stay with family. Shops nearby and it is in market area. No cheap crowd. Owner provided bigger room for our family.

The Hotel Samrat is very old in Daman City. It is very famous for Gujarati thali. Here, you can have unlimited gujarati thali at very reasonable cost. The taste of Gujarati thali is very delicious. The sweets that comes in thali is so yummy in taste. The served fresh food. The quality and quantity is overall good. The service is fast. The ambience is good. Hotel receptionist does not have sense to talk. Room was so bad we had to leave the same day even after paying. Staff does not bother to even put soap/towels in the room as per number of guests per room. Does not clean rooms even after agreeing to pay extra for the task. Our room had broken celinig and light bulb was hanging.

Location is awesome, we were given rooms in a new property just opposite the main building. As it was new it was clean and tidy. Over all a good property with a nice pool. We were a corporate group and everyone was satisfied.
