Hotel Safari - Hotel in Thiruvananthapuram - Thiruvananthapuram, India

This hotel is currently closed for renovation though it is still accepting bookings through various travel portals. It is a kind of fraud. After checking availability on travel portals, we physically arrived here on 20th Jan 2023. To our shock, we found it closed for major renovation. Fortunately we had not booked it online otherwise getting back our money would be a headache.

Here is my experience with Safari, This is hotel is an apt choice for bachelors to booze , party and have fun in a peaceful manner. This hotel is strictly not good for family. The A/C room rate is the cheapest at this prime location. The rooms were very spacious and comfortable. The A/C was working fine but you cant control the temperature. 1) Cleanliness: I rated very low for this. The towel which was initially provided was full of stains and I dint use it. The bedding and additional bed provided also were in the same condition. 2) Amenities: The hotel is located in the 2nd floor and the lift is really in a not so good condition. you have to cross a restobar to reach the lift which is filled with beef smell (personally i like beef fry very much and even tasted here). So those who hates beef smell I am sure you will suffer if you prefer to take lift. Most of the time the lift is used by the kitchen workers who keep it open while doing room service thus you need to wait for a long time. 3) Food and drinks: The food was very tasty especially the chicken Briyani, beef fry, chicken deep oil fry etc. Beverages are also served very cold and the room service was good. But never order tea as I define it as a diluted colored warm sugar water 4) Service Quality: It depends on the person who is present at the reception. One guy really did the service faster and quicker. The other dint bring water even after 2 hours. I was charged 400/- for one extra bed and not given any bill. The room boy cum receptionist collected the money and promised me to give receipt which he dint after several reminders. I stayed almost for three days and still dint receive the receipt. 5) Value for Money: I stayed with my friends and we party whole night. I was given a big executive room with a balcony for smoking. For me its really worth the money i paid and enjoyed my stay thorougly

The stay at hotel was not very comfortable. The lift was very old. The room was clean but old looking. They are having a beer parlour at the ground floor. At night they sell beer at a very high price (150rs was asked for a 100rs beer this happened on 17th of December 2020). At night when every other bar and wine parlour were closed they were still open. Very disappointed

The hotel name is not displayed properly ..so it takes a while to find it. But the hotel staff is courteous and helped us get to our room. Location is perfect for anyone wanting to stay close to Station/Bus stand. 15 minute walk to visit Shri Padmanabhswami Temple. Just whiskers away from Chalai Market-the best splice market in Trivendrum. Room is reasonably good and there is lift facility too. Bathrooms are clean with hot shower available. Some good restaurants around include the Punjabi Restaurant, Chicken hut,Beriya restaurant, Anas hotel, Annapoorna, Hotel Saravana Bhavan (pure veg) etc. Travel to the famous black colour beach-Kovalam is around 15.5 km. Autos charge around INR 230-250. This is one of the cleanest beaches..water has a green tint. A lighthouse is standing nearby the beach. Bus stand/ Trivendrum Central railway station are 1.2 kms away. Well connected by Autos..The fare is INR 20. You should preferably walk the route to see the area closely however.

For vegetarians it would be a terrible experience. they have non-veg restaurant in ground floor, by crossing the restaurant the rooms shall be reached. The lift will be like 100yrs old, kachada lift. Only one person will be available in reception doing all sort of things by himself. A/c Rooms will not have privacy. Overall hotel will be like dungeon. It's a worst nightmare for me and immediately cancelled the rooms and shifted to nearby ones.

Good location on MG Road with easy accessibility to railway station and ksrtc bus station. Attached restaurant and bar present. Families may not like it but a good choice if you are traveling alone or with friends. Reception is on the first floor and staffs are well behaved and polite.

I had a very pleasant stay. Staff was very helpful. They even woke up at 3 AM as I had to go to Kovil for Morning Darshan.15 min walk to Padmanabhan Swamy Temple and 5 min to Bus Station. Room was big enough. I had booked single non ac and it was more than what I had expected. Hassle free checking and checkout. Good for solo travelers like me.

It is a very bad and painful experience in the hotel. i am mentioning all of these 1. There is no room service. there is one person who is manager,reception and roomboy. The guest has to take care of all necessary. 2. The hotel atmosphere is not for family staying. A open bar is attached to the hotel. 3. No power socket is working .so you have to arrenge powerbank . 4. Cleanliness is not maintained. please cancel your booking . 5. All the amenities are old like third grade bea sheet,blanket,bathroom
