Hotel Royal Treat - Hotel in Margherita, Chiboo Gaon - Tinsukia, India

Hotel Royal Treat started off as a royal affair near Borogolai, off the small town of Margherita, but due to lack of proper staff and maintenance, the state if affairs at Royal Treat is anything but royal. The rooms are large and spacious with proper amenities, but again, lack of maintenance has led to cracked walls due to seepage, faded paint chipping off the walls, and spider webs in the corners. Also, the restaurant is mostly non-functional. And when they do function, they only serve a select few dishes although their menu is as elaborate as a page from history book. A little more care towards the hotel could save it.

I'm staying here. And i noticed that the hotel staff is very gentle. But the hotel can't serve it best when there are people at large staying in the hotel. But when there are limited persons then the hotel serves you the best. There are also discrimination in service also. Maybe I felt it but it defers person to person. This is only the hotel in Margherita with some decent amenities. Rooms are clean and washroom was pretty okay. The good part was my room had a small balcony where sunlight used to come so you can even dry your clothes if necessary. So I would totally recommend only this hotel if in case you are planning to visit this place. Also it's better to call the hotel owner and book as the room prices on other apps shows bit high and not available, sometimes they do negotiate.

Surrounding area is horrible. There is a petrol pump just besides to the hotel where most of the times trucks are parked, which gives a messy look. Moreover the approaching road is in very bad condition due to which lot of dust and dirt is there. However hotel is spacious, more than enough parking space. Good for party etc. Rooms are decent. We arranged a 25th anniversary party of father and mother in law here.

Nice ambience. Chef Dinesh is Excellent. Service is Polite & Gentle. Housekeeping Good. Economic compared to other similar Hotels nearby.

Staff behaviour is good. Conditions of rooms can be improved. Rates are a bit high. The hotel being one of the very few in Margherita has a potential to develop itself.

Pros Big rooms Nice location 3km from margerita city only 6min Very good service from hotel staff Tandoori chiken was good prefct sized chickens with ok price Balcony was also dere with the room. Cleaning was also good. It ws good stay Cons After 10pm cant get anything from outside market. If u r in margerita city then shuld arrive hotel by 8-9pm as after that very rare vechicles. Breakfast has no much option inly puri sabjee and omlet and tea

Service is pathetic...food quality also not good... even they are not giving salt bottle on the table...I will not go next time...
