Hotel Royal Residency - Hotel in Rameswaram - Ramanathapuram, India

Pretty much every hotel in Rameswaram is not so good, so comparatively this is an average hotel. Firstly hotel is a 100 steps from the main road and these 100 step road is very very dirtly with animal waste and construction debris. Hotel is constructing extra floors so all walk ways and steps are not clean. No lift available. First room they gave me was conjested and TV wasn't working. I switched for a better room but the barhroom mat wasn't good so room gets wet and sticky. It rained in the night and some water entered the room and made our suitcase wet. They didn't provide towels until second day as it rained and towels didn't get dried. Apart from all these negatives, hotel is very near to Agniteertham and Rameswaram Temple. Staff was very courteous and helps a lot. There a nearby restaurant Vitamin R (on top of hotel brindavan) which serves tasty north indian food.

This is my 3rd time booking this hotel... first 2 time is good and hygiene...but this time really bad .. especially floor cleaning not good super sticky... please improve don't spoil ur business.. especially this is a great location

Rooms were good. But we need to request multiple times to get something from the reception. Requested bathroom mats multiple times but were not provided. These are basic things in a hotel room. Heater was not working in one of the rooms that we stayed. For heater you have to call reception everytime to switch it on. Common area cleanliness needs to be improved

Budget friendly . Neat rooms and the water are good, not that salty compared to other places in the same locality . Overall good experience

Pathetic management and worst hotel in Rameswaram. I had made the booking 2 weeks prior to my travel and when I was on the way they called me and said - cancel your booking, we don't allow female solo, Even I mentioned that booking is not done today it's been 2 weeks why didn't you highlighted this earlier, he hang up the call. They didn't even supported with refund, such a worst experience with this hotel and management. The people are so late back to accept things.

Rooms are neat and clean. Located very near to beach. But rout is very complicated. It seems that this hotel is new, because constructiin and upgradation works are going on. So parking a car is little struggle. But the hotel management arranged a nearby rented parking lot without asking more money. Over all the experience is nice

Pathetic hotel. Rude behavior of the Manager. Bathrooms are very bad with faulty fittings. Blankets were stinking. Only thing they have used attractive wall tiles in the rooms to look the rooms good in photo. I booked 2 rooms for 3 days but had to cancel for the 3rd day. One of the managers, who was taking rest in one of the rooms, was very rude even when I politely requested if there's a scope for a refund for my cancellation and he was scolding in his local language. He did not even show courtesy to say bye when we vacated the hotel. Imagine how unpleasant experience would that be giving to someone which will spoil the thrill of your trip indeed!! The hotel looks cheap comparatively, but it is still not worth as it didn't give me a pleasant stay at all. I do not recommend this hotel to anyone.
