Hotel Rongtong - Fast food restaurant in Sepoy Dhura Tea Garden - Darjeeling, India

We had chicken momos here and they were delicious! The view of the Rongtong forest is sophisticated. It is a quiet place to have a stop while going up to Kurseong or Darjeeling. Don't forget to try their momos.

Fantastic view of hills and whistle of Toy Train. We did two birding sessions here with our bird watcher guests from Bangalore.

The service is fast. Taste of the food is average. Except for their 'aalo dum', its not at all. Don't even try it. Good to visit with friends as well as family. The crowd is okay. Prices have hiked. But its fine and affordable. The weather is amazing up there and the view is just fine. Not that great but okay.

A small establishment inside the Mahananda wildlife sanctuary. Perfect and peaceful. You can take a short break here if you're passing through or bird watching. The chicken momos and waiwai are must have while you're here and don't forget the tea/coffee. They serve beer as well. Try getting a seat by the window while you're here. They charge a little more than the MRP on packaged products so be ready for that. You can also Take a walk around the place or towards shivakhola. Update : I came here after over a year, sad to see that the quality has deteriorated. The momos tasted stale and the tea was no good. Hope they try to improve their food.

Located in the hill cart road at Rongtong. They make Best momos and egg wai wai. Must try . But avoid weekend evenings. They also serve alcohol.

Lovely little place by the road to halt and hogg before you start off for another destination. They have a great variety of quick bites, from yummy momos, waiwai and other beverages. It's actually snack with a view. Great place.

Hotel rongtong is the best place to have a nice breakfast before the tedious climb to your destination. This place has the best momos and the wai wai is mouth watering. Combined with tea its a real mood changer. I will always recommend to have tea and momos. Also the hotel opens up to a nice view of the jungle that covers the mountains surrounding it. I am from kolkata and have had food here more then 15 times and the owner is a very nice person. Over best stop for refreshments.

Best place to go with your friends or loved one. Food is very tasty and atmosphere is nice .
