Hotel Regal Star - Hotel in Kalyani - Nadia, India

I don't know about the Hotel Rooms but the Restaurant is definitely a big NO. I ordered 1 Masala Dosa & 1 Full Chicken Tandoori but it was a complete waste of money. The Chicken was Smelly, Stale & Rotten. I almost puked. I'm never eating here again. The Masala Dosa with Coconut Chutney & Sambar on the other hand was subpar in taste. The chutney was stale and Sambar wasn't good enough either.

Most 3rd class hotel....we booked one room on 3rd June 2023. They alloted room 203 ....AC not working...dirty bed sheet...not cleaned.....& behaviour of staffs were non tolerable....others business were operated...advice to guest not to book this hotel...we had no time to complaint near P.S. about their activities inside hotel.. The quality and quantity of food both are good. Price is moderate. Nice and quiet ambiance.

Good food with gentle behaviour of staff. Food quality is very good. We ordered mutton biriyani and it was delicious. Ambience of this particular restaurant is so soothing that you may fall asleep. Price list is very much market oriented. They have very good food catalogue. You may try their Sizuan rice with Katla Kalia. It's a unique combination you must try. I find their omlette is very fluppy and taste like tinder meat . One thing they should improve that is their cleanliness. Though it is a clean and hygienic restaurant but I find that their basin and toilet is dirty. And another thing they should give original hand wash instead of diluted one. Their biriyani is prepared with a very good aromatic smell which I find interesting. They have a very beautiful open kitchen in the basement. This restaurant has bar also. The bar is beautifully decorated and the sofa sets are very much comfortable. Their bartender is a jolly person and always asks for your requirements and take care of everything you required during drinking with extra charges basis. Their one negative point is maximum time their lift is not working. You have to climb the stairs to third floor. It's very pathetic after you get drunk .

Non AC takes 700rupees per night and AC room takes 1300ruoees per night. Service is pretty cool.

I've been here twice, I don't know about their room service as I've only been to the restaurant here. First time experience not too bad, food was good enough. And for the first time I didn't feel bad about the behavior of the staff. But when I went here last January, I found the behavior of the staff to be extremely rude, and I felt that they didn't even know how to speak politely. They do not have the basic knowledge of what to do as a staff. After placing the order, you had to wait for hours. But when a group of 10-12 people came after us, the staff got busy taking their orders and serving them.

Moderate and Simple Rooms. Best part is Kalyani Railway Station is at Stone Throw distance. The restaurant linked to the hotel is the best thing and added advantage. Cost is also economical. The restaurant is quite maintained well and hygienic. Staff are polite and well mannered.

The food was always upto mark here. whenever I go to this restaurant the food never disappoint me. Never tried the room so can't tell anything about it. The bar in upper floor have pretty much every drinks. And they are cheap in price comparison to other bars but the beer price is not cheap. I love the mutton biryani here cause it give two piece of mutton but no egg. Though it was Before pandamic now may be they changed that or not.
