Hotel Ramakrishna - Hotel in Mahabalipuram - Chengalpattu, India

Rooms were disgusting dirty and smelly, not as illustrated in pictures. The hotel is run down more like a back packer Inn then hotel. Non of the pictures in booking apps match the run down actual rooms. Blanket were kept in cupboard which comes with a foul smell. Room is smelly, toilet is run down. Non of the charging point is working for the room I booked. Worse booking I've ever made, even we just slept 7hrs to catch our flight. Strongly do not recommend.

Well, the hotel itself and location is fine, but some rooms have no access to fresh air. . So even AC doesn't help, high humidity... WiFi signal is low. Thanks

Rooms are good. Service is okay. Hot water was not available. However, this was not a problem as the weather was already very hot. Parking is available for 5 cars. Very close to all tourist attractions. However, it is located on a narrow street.

I had booked a 5 people sharing room in 1 month advance looking at the pictures sent by the hotel management which was best for stay. But at the last moment they cancelled the room and allotted some other room in the lodge besides which was completely unhygienic and had bad aroma around mentioning the reason that there was a plumbing leakage. Yes they reduced the booking amount for providing other room, but it was not the worth I paid. This is not the way hotel management should deal with visitors. At last moment of our tour we cannot lookout for other hotels. Kindly allocate the room which you promise the tourists. Pros : Ample space available for parking. Very near to the beach.

We did a walk-in. We were showed different types of rooms and their prices. We picked a double room next to each other. The property is newly renovated with clean bathrooms. Staffs in the hotel were very helpful, didn't hesitate to help when asked. For the price we pay these rooms are really worth, will definitely recommend for anyone looking for a budget option.

Rooms are very nice, good bathrooms, clean & hygienic. It's worth every penny. Location is nice with just a few feet- 5 minutes walk away from the hotel. Balaji helped us with a lot of, actually all the things. The Lake View rooms have good airy balconies, but lake is not good. It's basically a large pond that has gone a bit dirty, but doable. There is no meal service in the entire hotel. They only served tea in the room- no breakfast, no lunch, no dinner at all in the hotel. Balaji, thank you so much for catering to us for the last minute booking.

We booked through Make my trip after watching room and hotel pictures but originally it was very different. It was like lodge rooms behind the main hotel. We told them to upgrade they were very rigid and rude. Asked us to pay more 3k to upgrade in same place just with AC which was not worth. They were blaming MMT for everything. We finally talked with MMT and cancelled our booking. Just waste of time. Not recommended.

We were expecting more. Althouth it wasn't horrible, there are several things we didn't like. First of all, the bedsheets had oil stains. Also, the fan in the ceiling was not correctly installed and it felt like it would fall at any moment. They didn't give us toilet paper, and when we asked for it they only gave us 1 roll. The electric power fall twice in the middle of the day. Telephone in the room was not working. There are cables loose in points where should be lights. It's like the hotel is unfinished. We asked if we could buy water bottles and they charged us way too much, taking advantage that we are tourists. So, if you are willing to stay in Mahabalipuram, check twice before booking this hotel. The service at reception was really good, they were nice and let us leave our baggage there.
