I'm visiting this place since i was a kid, almost every car stopped here before 1995 to check their car's water level because after this ghat starts, now the technology in cars have upgraded and also there is Expressway so people have forgotten Ramakant, but Ramakant hotel is known by Every person who used to drive Mumbai-Pune before year 2000.
All film stars and businessmen from the 70s, 80s and 90s used to come here to have vada pav and check their car before proceeding forward on the ghat.
Coming on the point of this restaurant experience which I had today.
The area of this restaurant is huge enough to sit 100 pax, but I faced lack of service even when there were not more than 10 people in the hotel, they were running the show with 4 staffs only.
Ordered Vada Pav & Mix Bhajji, both were just outstanding, the same taste what i used to have 20 years ago, The batata wada's filling is white in colour and has a prominent taste of garlic and fresh coriander, the plates have become melamine from steel which i felt was not necessary for a cult place like Ramakant Hotel.
They have to work on the cleanliness as well, Washroom was super smelly and also the tables were sticky, they should consult a restaurant manager and learn how to keep a restaurant tidy.
Over-all for the food and memories it was a good experience.

The vadapavs are just awesome. They taste the best when consumed hot. We also consumed the onion bhajjis which were great. The tea and coffee are just great.
The best Vadapav in Khopoli. I had this vadapav a few year ago however revisiting the place gave back the same wonderful experience. However a few things changed. Service extreme low and poor. Cleanliness not upto the mark
Poor hygiene levels especially the outdoor seating areas, though prone to dust et all but the basic cleanliness on the benches and surrounding pathways disappoints. Vada Pav is good and served with a matchable spicy dry chutney. Missal Pao is a great spoiler with no substance in the Missal at all. Service is slow too.

I visited Varadi Misal in Khopoli and ordered Varadi Misal Special from there within five minutes of ordering and it tasted great.
