Hotel Raja - Biryani restaurant in Tiruchirappalli - Tiruchirappalli, India

Had a good experience here. This place has three dining. Garden restaurant, AC Room and the normal non AC hall. It's my first time here. We have ordered Plain briyani (115Rs), Mutton sukka(186Rs), BBQ Chicken 1/4 (114Rs) and sweet lime juice ( 48Rs) I really liked briyani and BBQ Chicken. Sweet lime juice was watery. I didn't eat Mutton sukka but my parents said that it was average. Prices are in moderate range. What I mostly liked it here was service. Servers were kind and customer friendly. Good food, Good service.

It's always my favourite biryani joint in Tiruchi whenever I cross the city, i make sure to visit here for biryani. Their garden ambiance at the back is good in the evenings to leisurely spend time. Though the place is known as Raja's Biryani, now they also serve and are popular for Arab styled dishes like alfaham chicken, grilled and tandoor chicken dishes.

A visit after a long time proved worthy since the dishes were not devoid of their consistency to attract the palate as were earlier. This is the reason for their remaining a reckonable non vegetarian restaurant even among many purportedly hyped new eateries of the same genre.

Located in Rockins Road. Very old and more than 50 years in business. Ample space for dining. A/C hall , non A/C hall and garden available for dining. Very good service. Huge list of varieties to select. Mutton soup is classic and must try. Actually lot of must try items .. notable ones are below Special parota Mutton Briyani Mutton soups Ginger tea Talcha Highly recommended. If you are in Trichy and passing through Trichy then try this hotel for lunch or dinner.

We ordered briyani, one of the bad briyanis... There is no aroma or taste...the server said mutton briyani is fresh and made just now, but the briyani isn't hot... It seemed like it was just heated (that too not fully) and the mutton pieces are too hard, normally briyani pieces will be so soft, but that's not the case here. Also we ordered grill, 65 and lemon chicken. Lemon chicken I don't know how the taste will be , chicken was so soft but I don't like the taste much. Grill was good with mayonnaise. Overall a bad experience.

Food: triedn egg fried rice and chicken BBQ. Both are well cooked up to the mark. Quantity of fried rice was good and much enough. Chicken BBQ piece was good enough. Price: Fried rice was price was good and low. Chicken BBQ price looks higher side for me. Service: is good quick no long waiting. its good. Atmosphere- they have inside and outdoor with garden area. they are good and pleasing. You can try others: lodge option there, near to tirchy railway station. hotel is recommended. for family and individual also.

Visited Hotel Raja Residency and Garden Restaurant for dinner with my wife and friend's family last month. Food was tasty but but the service is bordering on poor to pathetic. Poor waiting and order taking standards. I ordered egg masala and it was not cooked properly. Taste not all that great but price was ok. Water was not served even after asking for it multiple times. Ambience OK.. Had a disappointing experience. Will never visit again

The food was strictly above average but can be tried once their pepper prawn fry was good but their biriyani was less in quantity but they had parking space for four wheelers and their idiyappam was delicious along with mutton fry.
