Hotel Raj Resort - Hotel in Aquem - Baixo, Margao - South Goa, India

The rooms are very dirty. There are mosquitos everywhere, on the bedsheet, blanket and even on the walls. There is washbasin in the bedroom itself and no washbasin in washroom. The bathroom and washrooms are combined and is very small, almost equal to size of single washroom. The smell is also very bad. About the service, nobody is present in the reception at night. So no point of contact is available in case of any room service or emergency.

For location I would've given even 10 stars, rooms are also pretty good, they provided us an extra mattress for each room, check in was also pretty quick . For the service part I must say they need to improve a bit.

For all the thalis in south goa this is one of the best sea food thali. The most underrated hotel in madgao area just next to the station road. Excellent food good service and good ambience plus a parking lot what more to ask.

//Read, Think, Before you book !// I had booked this hotel with my family for a one Night stay. The female receptionist welcomed us with an unpleasant manner (don't know why).She asked the booking name. I booked the room in my sisters name but due to the tiredness I forget about it and I told her my name. After checking the system she told that there is no booking in that name. Hearing this suddenly I remembered the booking name and I told her sorry and informed her my sisters name. Hearing this in a unpleasant manner she chat with her colleague regarding this in her mother tongue which I do not understand but by profiling I understand , she was telling ,'People are coming without even remembering their names'. Hai lady , we came to your hotel after a 15hrs journey, rather than making fun of your customer you can always ask , sir, is there anyone with this name mentioning the name) in your group because I can only find a female name in the booking (you have seen me with my family , so you can simply guess that the name will be one of our family member) Later her colleague came to the seen and give us a deal, like one room for 3000rs and total 6000 for 02 rooms. I agreed and proceed with the staff for seeing the room. The room was not at all up to the mark. When I informed this they showed me another room which was having spider web and dust in the bed while they opened the door. I rejected their offer and then they offered me the same room for 2000 but as it was not at all worth for money I cancelled my booking and left. Only positive thing was the outside restaurant which is having good dishes, we enjoyed it but the rooms in the rate quoted by them are not justified and the service of receptionist was err. Give some trainings. Now decide to stay or to have food.

I didn't stay at Hotel Raj Resort. I went to their restaurant for having Dinner. The standard of the restaurant and make and look of the building may create a very good impression of the hotel. They have wide area for conferences and different restaurants etc. Nothing much to say about it.

It was my great experience again i was stayed once every month and every time staff was politely and supportive, room cleaning service was also good "kul milake superb experience".

This resort is up to the mark for rooms, service and location. The rooms are very well maintained, hygienic and well occupied with all amenities. The prices are pocket friendly and very near to madgaon junction, walkable distance to platform 1. Well connected with south and North goa

only cleanliness is the issue other than that all okay ,, i liked the staff in reception he is pretty good in helping us.. over all nice hotel for a stay
