Hotel Queen Palace - Hotel in Rameswaram - Ramanathapuram, India

During our visit, we stayed here through friend's recommendation. Location wise, it's on the main road of Shree Rameshwaram jyotirlinga temple. It's not much illustrated, since there are many hotels compared to the hotel asking for.

I stayed in this hotel on 11 Jun 23, hotel is decent, we took 5 rooms in total all are good and basic. They are not operating the Restaurant, it's closed for a while it seems.. except us there is no one in the hotel..

Budget low quality rooms provided at an expensive luxury room's price. I had a terrible experience staying at this hotel. I was provided room 102 which was not having a properly functional AC. The AC didn't have any fan control and blasted smelly air at full speed no matter what speed you set on the remote. The plastic bar for using the swing features was fully missing. Due to the AC blasting cold and smelly air straight onto the faces of people sleeping on the bed, we could not use the AC all night. We tried to use the fan instead, but that too was working only at full speed. So we had to open the windows and sleep with a million mosquitoes in the room on a hot night without a fan or AC after spending nearly Rs. 3k on the room. The bathroom too was quite old and not very clean with leaky taps. The staff did not seem to care much about the customer. There is no restaurant at this place and if you want a good quality restaurant which is near the temple you would have to spend additional Rs. 200 on taking an auto to-and-from the hotel as there is no parking anywhere near the temple. Never would I recommend this place.

Avoid if you have an option... very poor service and most of the facilities are not available. Beds are really poor and definitely not worth the price. Most important no restaurant in the hotel

property is located on highway near to bus stand and railway station at walking distance. Room provided to us was spacious to accommodate 3 of us i.e 2 adults and one kid having a large double bed and 1 single bed. bathroom was big and well equipped. Overall enjoyed the stay. Hotel provided us early check in as we reached hotel in early morning around 6 AM. we checked out next day at 9 Am. Hotel has restaurant whereas was not functional at this time and it was start from January month. Highly recommended for families couples as cleanliness is well maintained at this hotel. RAMESWARAM temple is 1.5 km from hotel. Auto charge 20 rupees to temple per seat or 50 rupees reserve. Dhanuskhodi is worth visiting having sea beach to enjoy. Temple and Dhanuskhodi are only two places at RAMESHWARAM worthy of visiting. One day is enough for RAMESHWARAM. 1 star less is for not having Restaurant functional.

The hotel had a good ambiance. Rooms were neat clean and spacious. Ample parking space. Reason why I have given one start less is their service boys who were desperate to extract tips. One of them even mentioned the exact amount of tip that he expected from me. Such behaviour is not expected in a premium hotel.

Nice , clean and good hotel very near to bus stand with all basic amenities. Rooms are AC (although not mentioned anywhere) and quite spacious and laundry provided are clean. Only one miss for me was there was no in house restaurant or room service available. However, there restaurants just beside or infront with very good food.Every room is provided with two towels, water bottles, basic toiletries(shampoo sashes and medimix soaps). Bathrooms are western with both hot (Solar) and cold water running 24 hrs. Ample car parking space is available. It's very near to the main temple west gate which is accessible through running autos(I would prefer that) or respective vehicles( temple parking is quite far and has very less slots).
