Hotel Purbasha - Lodge in Farakka, Farakka Barrage Twp - Murshidabad, India

If you love fresh and hygenic bengali cuisine when travelling via Farakka Barrage then this hotel is a must stop place for lunch or dinner. The prices are reasonable and the service is fast.

Hotel condition is too bad, from outside you may feel it is air-conditioned, but when we enter we saw worst one, foods are not hygienic, toilet facility is very poor.

Just finished my lunch (veg thali) here. What I liked is that they have served meal in disposable plate put on top of the steel one. A hygienic way of serving. It's a budget friendly restaurant serving 4 sabjis, one bowl of daal and rice in just Rs60 per plate. However, taste was average. Well, at this price it was expected. It's very close to NFK railway station beside the highway. If you are super hungry then you can grab a quick bite here.

Mr Saha offers genuine fresh Ganga River and Padma rivers' rare Delicacy Fishes. His Maternal uncle owns the shop in Raghunathganj the inventors of Kharsat

Okay food with standard traditional bengali thali available. Nothing special to mention though. One can taste the hilsa fish which is available is most restaurants around Farjana.

People say the best place to have lunch in Farakka area....but fish dishes are not too good with stale fishes being served

This restaurant is closed Updated Review on 03Jan-2021- Thanks for your response Hotel Purbasha that your hotel is active and open. We went there on 14-Nov-2020 @ 2pm and found close. So we were surprised. Will try sometime in future again.
