Hotel Priya - North Indian restaurant in Surat - Surat, India

One of the oldest and famous south Indian restaurant in Surat . Since 1977.. First time I tasted it's food mendu wada and masala dosa.. having tasted better sambhar from different better places, I found it bit normal than others.. yes based on the taste of Gujarat and Surat, I found it better. Masala dosa was good but better was mendu wada and nariyal chatni. Price is good so one can easily satisfy their hunger at nominal price and good taste. Restaurant is located in very popular area .. athwagate.. but bit inside which is a negative point keeping in respect to someone new in Surat and looking for good south Indian food.

Priya is one of the oldest hotel in Athvalines. South Indian, Punjabi, Gujarati even sandwiches etc. avilable in one roof. cleanliness and hygiene well maintained. Good place for family and also individual.

Good hotel for small plates, lunches, breakfast.... popular in college students...

My sentiments are attached to this hotel. If you are here then please order masala rava dosa with smosa plate following by dahi wada. U will not gonna regrert it. One of the best hotel in that area.

Never disappoints. They are in business since 1977 so you judge their food quality and consistency. Staff is friendly and polite. Teir food has touch of South Indian preparation as owned and operated by south Indian people. They can improve the lighting in the inside dining area. In the peak hour finding a parking spot is difficult.

What I liked especially about this place is its ambience and natural vibes. There are no flashy interiors or decorative fixtures. The seating arrangement is very comfortable and well managed. Although, the menu is quite varied and includes almost all cuisines that someone can crave for on their cheat day! Place is absolutely hygienic and no complaints can be made for rude staff behaviour. The owner of hotel is always present over and keeps a close eye on operations while greeting the customer in a very friendly manner. Price of the items in the menu are reasonable (quite reasonable actually) . Though the taste is not compromised due to low prices. Quality of the food is at par with big shot restaurants in town. Priya Restaurant can be accessed easily via private ir public transport. It is situated at a walking distance from Athwagate. Famous landmarks near Priya Restaurant are Mysore Cafe, Dhiraj Sons Departmental stores, Vanita Vishram College of commerce.
