Hotel Polo Towers, Shillong - Hotel in Shillong - East Khasi Hills, India

We stayed in Hotel Polo towers during 3rd-4th Oct and had a wonderful stay. The hotel has a very old charm about it and has beautiful cozy interiors. The staff was courteous and check-in and out process was very smooth. The room service was extremely quick and the food was amazing. The breakfast spread was really good. Thanks for the warm hospitality !

The stay and views are absolutely amazing! But the food at Ginger was my most valuable experience. The staff at Ginger, especially Shimti Rani and her team did a splendid job serving us fabulous food! Totally recommend spending some time here.

I saw a lady in Hotel Polo Tower Shillong on 09.10.2023 in the dining hall. She was looking prettiest in the shawl during the dining. I don't anything about her except she went to room number 103 that night. She was part of the big group that represented some kind of organisation. She took away with her a very important thing of mine. Can anyone trace that lady?

The rooms don't feel like a 3/4 star hotel but the service certainly covers for it all. The wi-fi connection is not good, but they gave me a Wi-Fi dongle after I complained and it worked well from that point on. The service is really good and the buffet breakfast is not bad either. The staff is also very nice and accommodating.

The Hotel is vastly overrated and definitely overpriced for what it offers. The rooms were cramped and lacked the much-needed balcony for some fresh air and a view. To make matters worse, the rooms seemed to have been recently refurbished but were plagued by a persistent dampness, making the atmosphere unpleasant and uncomfortable. The hotel's location did not live up to expectations either, as it was situated in an inconvenient area, far from major attractions or convenient transportation options. While the breakfast provided was mediocre at best, it was not nearly enough to redeem the overall experience. The only silver lining was the reception area and the staff's courtesy. The reception was well-decorated and had a welcoming ambiance, and the staff members were polite and helpful. However, these positives were far outweighed by the numerous negatives throughout the rest of the hotel. In conclusion, my advice would be to avoid this place as much better properties are available within the same price range that offer more value for money.

It must have been a great place before the concrete jungle grew all around it. There are no great views from most of the rooms. It's greatest advantage, it is walking distance from all the happening joints of the city. It is rated 4 Star but could do more to meet standards.

The hotel was quite good. There was parking spot for cars and bike also. There was generator backup also. The rooms were quite comfortable and the bathroom was good also. There was room heater also. The room included a small study table and a tv and 2 sofa and a chair also. In short, it's quite good and amazing place

We stayed in polo tower on 5th and 7th October... booked two premier rooms. On 5th October, one of the allotted room which had very unbearable bad odour and when requested to change of room, they allotted other room. But again with broken hand spray with commode.The rooms are very small and bathrooms are even smaller. All the beds are very old , edges of the piping are out..all the interior and fixtures are looks pre historic. They promised to give good rooms on 7th, they did and given one good room , other one is again very poorly lit with old commode and old lever type flush.. shower area is very dark ... except AC all the electric switch and furnitures are very old... when they claim it 4 star and charging high tariff... it's not worth it . Reception staff and dining staff are good... giving 2 star for their service.
