A decent budget hotel near Ava Art Gallery. The rooms were pretty nice in the given price range. Well decored and neat and clean. The service was just about average, though i want to clarify that i stayed there on a day when Darjeeling came to a stand still due to a severe long lasting hailstorm. A bit far from the mall. Overall recommended.
The hotel is a good one. The food served at this place is very simple and extremely tasty.
There are two negative points about this hotel
1) The room service is poor.
2) The hotel is about 2km from Darjeeling Mal. Its more than half an hour to reach Mal walking from the Hotel..
Everything else about the hotel was very good.
Courteous and friendly staff. Helped and provided guidance with everything. Small drawback is there is no 24hr room service, so if you need anything during 9pm-7am, you are out of help. But I would recommend it nevertheless.. Rooms are very good too, spacious and equipped with geyser and coffee maker.
Rooms are very old and not maintained properly(wall paint peeling off). Flush tank was leaking. Water flow rate was insufficient.
No lift, we had to climb 5 floors to reach topfloor.
Staff behaviour is unpleasant and indifferent. Breakfast and dinner timings are only one hour long and were not flexible. No room service for food.
Prebooked extra-bed never came.
Location is around 2km away from city center/market, but along the road.
Location: Around 2 km from Mall road market.
Parking: Very congested and no parking space. Car can stop for some minutes until load/unload of luggage.
Room Size: Medium and can be manageable.
Food: Breakfast with 3-4 varaities and good taste. Similarly, nice dinner with sweet/desert.
Service: Good & immediate service
Amenities: TV with only FTA Channels. In last week of April also not recharged for any pay channels. It has been told that was not aware about the situation which I don't believe as the new rules applicable in whole India.
It's far better than we expected for its price range and is in a good location. The staff are very friendly and accommodating. Rooms are nice and clean (includes electric kettle, instant coffe, tea and milk powders, wifi, tv). But keep in mind the food is costly. All in all very satisfied and highly recommended

This is the best budget hotel I have been....though a bit far from the market(which I knew before booking and choosed it) but they will provide all the service up to the mark. The food here is excellent and also behaviour of the staff. I will suggest this to everyone who is looking for nice stay experience within budget
