HOTEL NEW SWAGATH - Vegetarian restaurant in Mangaluru - Dakshina Kannada, India

Spacious seating arrangement. Variety of options available in the menu. The price is very reasonable and the service was good. Food was good but can still be improved. I tried Chole bhature, Samosa chat and Mango Milkshake and they were all decent.

We were here for evening snacks; Had Fried Veg momos, Pani puri, Chana bature, Goli baje, Coffee and Tuppa Dose. I must say it was delicious but Tuppa Dose was ok.

The service is very bad. Food is average. Don't get fooled by the outer design of the hotel. Only positive is u will get ur food quickly.

Haven't been this disappointed in a while that's why you are finding me here. Went here excited as I had seen some good reviews about the place. But soon to be disappointed as the service was horrible. As a South Indian place, the least I expect from here is a decent dosa. The filling had a mixture of vegetables which did not accompany the dosa at all. I had ordered a strong horlicks Milkshake as I always do in and around Mangalore. The milkshake was watery bland and not at all strong. And don't even get me started with the charts. The worst masala Puri I had in Mangalore till date. This place was just disappointing.

A complete veg restaurant located in Balmatta, bridge road. We went to try out our morning breakfast. Ordered Idli Vada sambar which was crisp and good in taste. Neer dosa with chutney was also soft and nice. Pineapple Kesaribath was felt with less sweetness loaded. Best served was tea for refreshing morning mood. Place is clean and spacious and overall not very expensive restaurant.

Having been a regular visitor of the old Swagath hotel, many years back, felt must try this new place out. The hotel is quite spacious. Surprised to see that the menu card did not display the prices. Some of the breakfast items such as Goli bajji, Onion bajji etc were not available during peak breakfast hours. Turned out that the prices are pretty high in comparison to its nearby competitor Indrabhavana. The taste was decent, not outstanding although. Poori gashi was served with only gashi and not Chutney. Presentation was not upto the mark. The dal in Idli toye was too watery. Filter coffee was too sweet. The staff was quite polite. Service was quick. The hotel was clean and hygienic. They have limited parking options near the entrance. They accept online mobile wallet payment methods also. Overall an average experience, expected a bit more out if this hotel.

Inexpensive; good ambiance; pure veg; parking is a bit congested.
