Hotel MP Temples Inn - Hotel in Kumbakonam - Thanjavur, India

We had booked this hotel keeping in mind the locality and the accessibility that it might have to near by places. However it turned out to be a very bad option as there is so much difficulty with finding a parking spot the priority is given to people dining in at Gowrishankar Hotel and not for the people staying at MP Temples Inn. When inquired they were suggesting that there is another parking slot available in their other hotel which is 200M away. Why would someone like to park their car in another hotel and come and stay here. Service provided by the employees taking care of this place is way below par and if you ask them anything they get very defensive and will give some excuse or the other. Whenever I visit KUMBAKONAM I stay here. The staff are friendly and service is good. I just call Mr. Vijayakumar and book a room. That's it it's done.

The hotel is located in the heart of town. The rooms are spacious and the house keeping needs improvement. The restaurant attached gives variety of dishes and the taste is awesome and served hot from oven. My family enjoyed the stay.The room service is not available except coffee. But the restaurant is very good but wait time is there. Take away is avaiable.To summarize it is good for the cost paid.

Chose this place for two days stay with my Brother. Room facilities are good. Restaurant is available just in the ground-floor where we can get good vegetarian food varieties. Had a pleasant stay. The management even help us to get cab / taxi for affordable price if we have plans to visit nearby temples - Thirunallaru & Vaitheeswaran Temple.

The room itself was neat but the bathroom and toilet was quite bad. On requesting to get it cleaned the person concerned turned up 5 hours later though until then he was doing absolutely nothing but sitting idle besides the lift there. Apart from that I loved everything else in the hotel

I had very poor experience when I had been there last weekend. There are no competent personnel either in reception or for room service. When we requested for room service the room boy refused upfront and said that he cannot do that. That was a rude shock to me, though I requested him very politely. Parking of vehicle is nightmare here and there is no people to regulate the same. You need to park absolutely on your own risk and forget about your car for marks or damages. I cannot think of visiting this place once again. More than me, my family was very much disturbed the way in which things happened. I have been writing reviews for the past 10 years in Google and this is the first time my review is so negative and am sorry for that.

Stayed in a family room. Location is convenient and the restaurant is the only place with some good food in the locality. Parking in front of the hotel is a challenge, but there's lot of space on the road side. It is affordable to stay.

Positive Location Separate 4 bed concept Restaurant Piligrims choose this hotel due to proximity of the location to Temples and shopping. The rooms and washrooms are not bad but can be improved.
