I recently had the pleasure of visiting Hotel Mohan during my trip to Kolhapur, and I must say, it was an absolute delight. Located just a stone's throw away from the magnificent Mahalakshmi temple, this charming eatery won me over with its mouthwatering delicacies and impeccable service. One of the highlights of my visit was the delectable street food that Hotel Mohan has to offer. The vada pav, a popular Maharashtrian snack, was simply outstanding. The golden-brown, crispy vada, nestled between soft and fluffy pav bread, left me craving for more. Each bite was bursting with flavorful spices, and the accompanying chutney added an extra zing to the overall experience. Another dish that stole my heart was the traditional poha. Hotel Mohan served a piping hot plate of this iconic breakfast staple, which was impeccably seasoned with the perfect blend of spices. The light and fluffy texture of the flattened rice combined with the aromatic flavors created a symphony of taste that left a lasting impression. The Sabu khichadi at Hotel Mohan was a revelation. This unique dish, made with sago pearls, vegetables, and spices, was a delightful surprise. The khichadi had a perfect balance of flavors, with each ingredient complementing the other. The soft and chewy texture of the sago pearls, along with the crunch of the vegetables, provided a delightful contrast that was truly satisfying. Apart from the exceptional food, Hotel Mohan also impressed me with its excellent service. The staff members were attentive, friendly, and always ready to assist. They ensured that my dining experience was comfortable and enjoyable from start to finish. Moreover, the seating arrangement was well-designed and easily accessible at street level, allowing guests to relax and enjoy their meal in a cozy and inviting atmosphere. In conclusion, Hotel Mohan exceeded my expectations with its outstanding food, attentive service, and convenient location near the Mahalakshmi temple. If you find yourself in Kolhapur and have a hankering for authentic Maharashtrian cuisine, this is the place to be. I highly recommend indulging in their vada pav, poha, and Sabu khichadi for a culinary experience that will leave your taste buds craving for more. I can't wait to return to Hotel Mohan on my next visit to Kolhapur.

Underrated gem in Kolhapur for Misal. If you are in Kolhapur anywhere near Mahalaxmi Temple, do not miss the chance to visit this place. This place is just 5 minutes away from temple. It offers lip smacking misal which is just perfect spicy. This place is small and does not offer flashy atmosphere. If you wish to taste authentic kolhapuri misal and do not care about ambience and all this place is for you. They also serve Dosa, Uttappa, Medu Vada, Pav Bhaji and Sabudana Vada. Even though the Uttappa was best I've tried in Kolhapur, the chutney needs an improvement.

Best ever Kolhapuri misal pav! Also Dosa, Uttapam are very good.. Small hotel in crowded area. Buttermilk tests nice! Must visit this place..

Not to judge this hotel by its outer appearance! It's been years and still their misal is something one must try. Just the way we Kolhapuri's like it- jhanjhanit (spicy) yet nice! Their utappam is good as well.

Two things you need to try- Misal and Uttapa. Both are very nicely prepared and the taste is very good. Other items like vada pav and shabu vada are not up to the mark.

Kolhapur and it's branded misal pav. I have recently visited this tiny but clean restaurant which is running half on road and half in the building. Which nearly had 7-8 tables in row when you enter this place but I will still recommend you for it, because taste of food.

best quality foods ever....we had morning breakfast here.....but we're like hungry foodies and came again after mahalaxmi temple darshan to taste some other dishes from their menu and believe us all these dishes are very awesome with best taste and quantity .... ofcourse with reasonable price...we loved the food... must visit.
