Hotel Metro - Hotel in Kumbakonam - Thanjavur, India

Enjoyed a 3-day stay at Hotel Metro. The rooms were impeccably clean and affordable. Conveniently located near great restaurants and temples. The atmosphere was peaceful, and the staff was friendly. The only drawback was the limited basement car parking, making it challenging to exit due to the busy street during the day.

Located in the prime place of the town. Rooms are decent and clean. Both AC and Non AC rooms are available. Has limited basement parking for cars. Staffs are friendly and cooperative.

From the time of arrival till check out it was a complete smooth experience altogether. Thanks to Team Hotel Metro.

Car parking, cctv camera, lift , room service Tv , ac , heater in restroom were all available. Room service is also available. But only drawback was during midnight the colour of water comes in restroom changes in brown in colour with no reason. Rest is fine

Worst hotel in kumbakonam... Full of money minded... Charging for everything... Hotel is not cleaned... Don't use their car for temple visit... They are charging too cost and not showing requested temple even we have time... Try to avoid this hotel...

Good AC Neatly maintained pillows and curtains and bedsheets. Bathroom is very neat and clean. Worth for money This hotel located near jewellery shops road. Surrounded by temples. Easily reachable and safe. Suitable for business, family, or individual stay. Car parking is available.

I had a very bad experience in this hotel. I can say the worst.. I booked a hotel for 1 day from MMT. I have spoken with reception that we will check in late around 9pm at night as we were visiting Navagraha temples. But at 9 pm it was heavily raining in Kumbakonam and when we arrived at the hotel the power went off and the hotel generator was not working. So reception was busy with generator checking and after 30 mins he came to do check in procedures. We had the train the next day to Bengaluru at 6:30 pm . So we asked the receptionist to provide extra hours (we didn't ask for free, we said we will give Rs500 extra), but he didn't agree and said hotel rules are to check-in at 2pm and check out at 12pm . What should we do if we check out at 12pm for another 6 hrs because in Kumbakonam all temples are closed post 12 pm to 4 pm. I came with my parents and it was not a good plan to pay the full amount of 1 day around Rs1500 for just 5hrs . Even though all these conversations went, power didn't come and the generator didn't start and we had to wait in reception till 11:25 pm (almost 2+hrs at night ). The receptionist and owner had very rude conversations with us and were not even 1% supportive. We got frustrated with the attitude they were showing. Later I spoke with MMT customer care, as I couldn't cancel the booking at that time. MMT customer care spoke with the hotel manager. He was saying 5 mins it will resolve but we don't know how many those 5 mins took. Later we asked mmt to refund our amount. After the refund we just left that place around 11:45 pm and for our luck we got a very good room at Rs2300 for 3 people AC which is not too much and also for 24hrs .. Dear guests , Please think before going to such hotels. Though the hotel is at a prime location like the same road to Sarangapani temple, the way they were with us was not good .
