Worst ever hotel experience! I was denied my stay because my surname happens to be different from that of my husband. Apparently according to these uneducated buffoons and lunatics girls must change their surnames after marriage. They are not aware that according to India's law it is not mandatory to change the girl's surname after marriage anymore. Despite showing our original aadhar card and softcopy of Marriage Certificate they had the audacity to say that the marriage certificate is false and needs original. Who on earth carries around original marriage certificate? The people at the desk were not only rude but had the outrageous behavior of ignoring my issue and addressing new customers! On top the manager Dilip went on to the extent to say he cant read/write English or Hindi and can understand only Kannada while he was fluently able to speak and read written in the customer register. This hotel MUST BE BLACKLISTED by all service providers like @makemytrip @goibibo etc. @Mathura Inn - What a surprise! you can read and write in English whereas you denied blatantly of been not able to do either! I had shown my marriage certificate softcopy. Who on earth carries hardcopy document? And you had outright said it is false without even looking at it. Do note "no law in India demands a woman to change her surname after marriage." As as you are saying law says to carry valid proof. I was carrying original of aadhar and the softcopy which you didnt even look! Now if you can show me the law which says otherwise (because I am a lawyer for last 14 years) I will remove this review! And a reminder to you again of denying listening to your customer for and being outright rude yourself! Also note a hotel is reviewed on basis of its manager/people who cater to the customer not alone on cleanliness. Your hotel may be neat and clean but if your behavior is not that too amount to dirty! Another thing I would like to draw your attention to a similar review by someone in 2017 to whom you did the same thing. Guess it is in your nature and not accept your mistake!
The hotel situated is centre heart of the city its walkable distance from railway station and central bus stand also transport connectivity is very easy. Overall good location
We did not face any issue during our stay. The breakfast items were different and nice. When idly was there it was not interesting. Car parking is available in cellar, no need to park vehicle in open place.
Rooms are hygiene and good little expensive, no restaurant in hotel ,mid of city 12am to 12am check in
Hotel is located at the heart of Gulbarga city. You can get auto services in front of hotel. Many standard restaurants are near to hotel. Railway station is in walkable distance. One thing I like about the hotel is they provided English newspaper to each room.
